Vaeth tunes 2012 CLS63 to 680ps (670hp)

Came across this while surfing the net wanted to share it with you guys. This is not to advertise for this company just sharing info.

http://www.vaeth.com/en/vehicle-refi...lass/c218.html

Is this possible? That much HP gain over the stock by a Tune, intercooler and an exhaust?

Don't they need to throw on some larger turbo chargers?

What do you guys think?

a car that gets very poor gas mileage.
Geeez, the V63RS gets that motor to 670HP!!
Torque goes to 737lb/ft!!

This motor is certainly boosting over 25psi, hence the intercoolers and exhaust plumbing. You can expect this motor to ping in the long run.

I just wish I knew what the octane equivalent is of 98 ROZ (or RON?).

From other threads I've seen, this engine can go absolutely mental power-wise with a tune alone (no comment on longevity).

My sentiments exactly.
This much power will come at a cost.
But geeez, those numbers make me feel all warm inside.

You know I too am not a big fan of Vath, and if you look at the numbers they don't make sense, if you think about it the V63 they offer from a base of (525hp/557hp) the without PP and the with PP, has a torque of 850NM while AMG without PP is 800NM and with is 900NM they actually take it down 50NM and give you 600hp!! Doesn't make sense that's what I think after having a good look at the number over and over again. Vath would never receive any order from me

dbassons55: i think it is possible to gain 100hp over the PP with air filters exhuast ( Primary & resonators deleted ) and a tune. as we already saw 50rwhp gain over CLS63PP.

i am tuning my car and i know dealer can't know if it is tuned as already lots of 63s are tuned and they don't know. if you wan't a tune we can group and tune our cars. i am going for OE Tuning.
------------------------
finally yesterday i floored my CLS and i smoked a modded CLS55 ( 180mm pulley, Headers with down pipe, 80mm TB, K&N filters, and H/E with IC pump) .

i smoked him badly LOL.

his car is strong but the CLS63TT MCT shifts very fast.

98 ROZ = 93 RON ( US measure )

I don't think you can get more horse power from a tune 50whp on a pp its max I think another 50whp from deleting cats and larger intercooler is not possible maybe 20whp if your lucky, I already have my car lined up to get an upgrade I will do a before and after dyno tune and we will see the gains.

I don't know how many locations they have, but are you referring to the OE Tuning in Van Nuys, CA?

Nice!
Was this on the roll or from a dig?
Either way, congrats on the kill.

Awesome.
Can't wait to see your results.

Regarding the Vath claims, and I am in no way defending them...when you use intercoolers you can crank up the boost. I honestly believe that they are asking the small turbos in the M157 to produce +25psi.

Definitely not a motor I would want to keep and certainly nowhere near what I would call a "reliable" motor.

yup the same one : Jeremy

Either way, congrats on the kill.

i raced 3 E55s today and all are modded. from where i saw my modded E55k (516rwhp) and today my stock CLS63 with PP.

the diffrence was the same with my friends E55s.

so i can conclude that my CLS is as fast as my modded E55k that had (184mm pully, 80mm TB, LT headers with direct downpipe 3", CF intake with TTM scoops, K&N filters, H/E, and IC pump, spacers) ofcourse tuned by Jeremy OE Tuning.

these 5.5TT are no joke.

we tried from 60km rolling.

i know i will smoke them badly if we tried from 0 woth Race Start option

Well I am sure if you have a better intercooler then you can increase boost and get more HP but there is a limit to those engines, you have to have bigger turbos to reduce the torque otherwise you will break some gears! Plus if you have a look at Fly63 dyno pull he increased 30% in torque and 80HP, Vath as much as I would love to see high HP numbers went up 25% in torque and around 145HP (comparing the without PP V63RS), there is something fishy my friend in Vath's numbers!
I will be going with Brabus upgrades, the upgrades will be a larger Intercooler, exhaust with deleted cats and a Tune, they claim 620hp without considering the deleted cats, my upgrades are ready to install I am only waiting on my visual upgrades to be ready, they promised last week of August to have all the parts ready and 10 day installation so hopefully first week of September.

i would love to see you race each other to get an idea on tuners. You can claim this and that, but other then on side backing their preferred tuner, that's all you have.

Lets see it in real life which is the better tuner in a friendly get together
