Took the car twice to know what it runs. It was 60 degrees in Atco NJ, and I had a full tank of gas (amateur mistake):
60': 1.772
330': 4.884
1/8: 7.464
MPH: 94.97
1000: 9.690
1/4: 11.569 @119.81
I did have a friends 17": Hoosiers on it with the above run. I ran a 12.07 1/4 with my 20" street tires.

correct me if im wrong, but does it look like there was more power/torque in the low rpm range, before the tune?
did it not just shift the power from the low end to the top end?

I think I followed up that issue with a post a page or so back... its due to the wheel spin on the dyno.

i
ive been wondering...
about these tunes: there seem to be several companies offering them, and some extremely satisfied customers are reporting back, but....
what about the warranty on your brand new $100,000+ car?
do people just not care about voiding it?
ive heard that its no problem to take the ecu back to stock if warranty work is needed, but then ive heard that they can tell even if there's ever been a tune on the car.
my friend told me his buddy had an ECU tune (this was a BMW 335i) and needed warranty work and he had the tune erased but they said they found - i believe he called them "ghost codes" that were found and they said this was an indication that it had been messed with.
the dealer voided his warranty.

I think the tune is worth the money but as always, its a pay to play type of mod. Its not 100% failsafe but it definitely is a harder to detect mod than lets say... an exhaust.
Im a modder type of owner so I cant leave my cars stock; whether it be exhaust, ecu, suspension, and most definitely wheels. The tune on a 63TT has huge gains so Im going to do it.

I believe that if the dealer is "not looking for it" they will not find it but everything is traceable. If the dealer wants to CSI one's car they will know where the boost was and what changes may have taken place.

and apparently no one else does either?

Its only voided if the dealer deems so or the factory. Your comments make it seem like the ones who have tuned their cars (I havent yet) dont care. Of course they care and so would I. But every one weighs out the risk of engine failure and warranty issues against their OWN personal cost/benefit analysis. To me its a very very small gamble for a sizeable gain but like I said there is always risk in aftermarket mods that lead to a failure. But if I tune my car and my radio breaks will my warranty be voided? No.
Dont tune your car, you seem too worried and you seem a bit worried about if we do also.
(I say that jokingly hence the smiley)
If the tunes are true to gains then this car will be crazy fast (already proven by many members here). I have seen these types of gains in Porsche Turbos and I have done tunes on all 3 of my turbos: 996, 997.1, and 997.2. The performance difference is clearly night and day. My GTR is another one that clearly draws me towards a tune. A simple tune and a midpipe and the car is doing high 10's/low 11's. Turbos loooooove boost. It just has to be a safe amount.

Honestly look at that dyno sheet. Honeslty what makes these cars so great is that they are tunable like this.
Zolivary75,
Excited to see the final outcome. Might be calling renntech for some more parts here soon!

I believe that my dealer would do everything possible NOT to look for it due to my relationship with both the sales and services managers. I may be fooling myself but customers are hard to come by...

Even my wife is happy because I am happily running whatever errand she can come up with...
Love the .63 cent line...

my issue with tunes on cars that are so powerful to start with is, where the heck am i gonna use that power, enless im on a track or quartermiles drag strip
i think its different if you are going from a car with 150hp and adding something on to it to give it 200plus hp, and u would see significant differences
but then again , it is all relative to each owner and driver....

I have used the power every single day since I got the tune; up top at triple digit speeds and in day to day driving from digs and 30 mph to 100 mph acceleration pushes. What most dont realize is that these tunes on the M157 engines really bring a ton more power in the useful curve of the RPM range. The difference in being able to pass and pull from cars on a straight road is incredible. Like I have mentioned these gains are not placebo in nature.
Also - The CLS550 is now a beast of its own and significantly less expensive than the 63..so the amount that you are paying for the extra power over the 550 is WAY more $$$ than a tune on a 63 that will cost you 1500 - 3500 bucks.
Anyway...thats my logic and I am in day 2 of driving with a Renntech tune...and almost broke my wifes next today so now I am only allowed to drive in C mode when she is in the car...

I'm more of a wanna-be gear head than a Poseur.......but am trying hard to learn from all of you guys.
Since joining the board I have learned how to hardwire my own V1, I installed new side markers and pulled out and put back my ECU. I know I know...kids stuff but I'm getting there....
I plan on posting the V1 install as I found a clear path from the rearview to the diagnostic port (where it get its power now) without removing anything...came out great.
Thank you all very much!

I will post those pictures tomorrow but check out the Savvy in the meantime. Its $69 bucks and lets you use the diagnostic port for power. It also allows you to set minimum speed for you detector to, well, start detecting....

The concealed display is another must add-on IMO just for the fact that you can place you V1 in better spots run it in dark mode.
