Can someone please explain difference between the M157 in the s/cl63 and the cls63?
is it just the tune or different hardware?

only a tune, and i don't think there is a diferrence between CL/S63 performance package and CLS/E63 performance package.

if you want a good compair, get CL63 PP and CLS63 PP and dyno them on the same dyno on the same day. and them afterwards.
however, maybe there is something different between them like what was in E/CLS55K and S/CL55K which the S & CL had extra cooling H/E. and therefore MB may did the same for 63 bi-turbo and increased the boost in these platforms.

As far as I recall for the 2012 CLS63 and E63, the M157 is physically the same.
However, the S and CL were using the motor before and may have some different components that were later changed for the CLS and E which have not yet been released.
