Just had mine done- my tech took maybe all of 20 minutes from rack to drain to fill to unrack... The gear oil is not cheap but I dont think I have to swap it again for 40k miles or so and I wont even keep this car past 10k.

If you are in the Orange County see Serge at Benzworks in Huntington Beach. Dont go to a dealer and get your culo widened.

That's for posting that Vic. My dealer did not tell me about this necessity when they delivered my car to me.

There might have been a sticker in the upper left windshield of your car talking about the differential gear oil and to change it at 1875 miles to prolong life. Your dealer could have pulled it off though?

No worries... I dont think any others but I would not wait for the system recommended oil change. I like to do an oil change around 3k miles for the initial change.

Vic what is the proper weight of the gear oil and the quantity? I'll probably do mine myself being that I have my own lift.

Your dealer will know but I remember seeing the container:

Castrol Syntrax 75-140 Limited Slip Differential Fluid and it took the 3 containers... half liters. My tech ordered it straight from the dealer and it had the Mercedes blue and white parts sticker on them:

LSD and the PP are exclusive of each other... The LSD is an additional option so you might have it but you will need to check your addendum.

LOL not selling the CLS... yet. The E is growing long in the tooth coming up on 18 months though.

The GTR might be replaced by a 2013... the 2013 is quite possibly a 10 second stock car and I have an allocation at a very favorable price.
