Problems Dynoing a 2012 CLS63
Hi Guys
I am hoping someone can help, I am wanting before figures for my 2012 CLS63 before the ECE is modified and we had it strapped to the dyno today but just could not get a voltage reading so we could take RPM
How did anyone else overcome this?
Thanks in Advance
Andrew

It is fairly simple. You can call us if you want someone to walk you through it.

Hi
It made 552 BHP which i am happy with
I am now sending the ecu to Germany to a guy who works for AMG I know through a contact, he is going to write a custom map and says he can get an easy 110+ BHP
heres hoping!
I will post a graph when its done

Very nice! What was the actual rear wheel HP and what percentage loss thru the drivetrain are you guys using to get the 552 BHP?
I bet that tune you guys are getting is actually the Vtech tune. I was told that the Vtech tune is coming from an AMG engineer in Germany. You can get it in the states though no need to send it to Germany

Looking forward to seeing your before/after dyno results

Hi
Im not sure what loss they used but the info all came from the man at AMG.
I am not sure what tune he is applying but as I am in the UK, Germany is a lot closer than the States :-) Speaking of which I had the pleasure of collecting my car from the factory and driving it home, It was awesome.
I will post some graphs when he has done it.
Cheers

That is awesome that you were able to pick up the car from the factory. We have that option here in the states when buying a Corvette. It's a great experience. Congrats on your car and enjoy it my friend

It am amazing experience. You get a full factory tour, entrance to the museum and then handed the keys to your car. Then you get on an Autobahn with no speed limit for a couple hundred miles! I cant recommend it enough to anyone in Europe thats buying a Mercedes!
Thy put you in a decent hotel and cover the flights to and ferry/tunnel home also

if this ECU tuning will give the CLS63 an easy 100+ hp gain, why didn't the AMG factory already have this added to the car when it's stock? Do you think it's an engine life/reliability issue or it's just a business technique?
Thanks

They have that here in the United States. If you buy a Benz here you can get what they call is a European delivery & you get to do everything he mentioned plus u get to tour the country for about 2 weeks in your brand new car then they put on the ship & ship it to the USA,if you decided to do this they also give you some kind of discount off of the total price when purchasing the vehicle
