Hey Greg--- I got one already- whats your net cap cost on this proposal? The money factor is higher than optimal (.00195 is top tier) unless they are making rate on you. Whats your mileage restrictions and term?

I need a little more info to get a better understanding. Based of that residual and MSRP your residual is 57% which resembles a 36 month 12k per year set up.

So Ill guess- lets say you are paying sticker or 113775- your depreciation is 1359.00 plus interest (at .00225) 401.90 plus 7.75% tax gets you 1897.36 per month- This is with no cap reduction. You said you have drives of 3k and based off my numbers none of the 3k reduces your cost since you have first payment, dmv, and bank lease fee. I think you are paying a little under sticker then which to me is too much.

This price seems too high, especially at that MSRP provided.

35 payments = 64,050
Drive off= 3,000
Total= $67,050

It does not look like your getting any discounts on selling price and paying the full money factor rate. Not sure what the residual percentage is for January.

Try to get at least 5% discount on MSRP.

Hey Vic, a long time no talk...
Dang, you got one badass looking CLS63 and you sure do have great taste in cars.
Dealer just got back to me with the net cap cost of $111,775 which is 2K off of MSRP. I haven't done the negotiation yet but what kind of discount I should be expecting?

Yo G whats up...

I think I was spot on, your pmt is 60 dollars under msrp times 36 which is relatively 2k under. What dealer? I think you are leaving some room on the table, there is 6% front end invoice off msrp and 6% holdback (dealers try never to share). I think you can get at least 4k off msrp if not a little more.

Thats sounds like a much better deal you are about 200 dollars per month lower or 7-8k plus under msrp (including the original quote of 2k under msrp)... can you confirm the net cap cost Greg?

After all that negotiations to finalize the deal then the dealer emails me this... WTF??

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi Gregory!

Got some bad news! The owner just got involve and they do not want to sell the vehicle at $1648/ mth. They had better offers and they refused it. Sorry for the trouble! I am only the messenger. Thank you for understanding.

Keyes came through and I'm at the dealer signing the paperwork. Not a big fan of matte finish but it does look better in person. Thanks for the help Vic and let's hook up sometime. Will post pics tomorrow

So they tried the bait and switch on you and then they ended up selling the car anyways? What price did they charge you then or was it the same?

FYI Howard Keyes (owner) would never get involved in a single transaction so that whole email was a joke.

With the discount of $ 7117.51, the net cap cost was $ 106,657.49
In the end, the monthly payment came out a little higher at $1688.70
It's got everything I wanted except PP w/ red calipers but I'm sure the tune will fix that
Put about 200 'hard break-in' miles on the car today and I'm loving it.

Here is a few iphone pics I took last night at the dealer

Yup, They are turning the old location into a Hyundai dealership.
We actually did the all the stone fabrication for Keyes Dealerships (Audi, Lexus, Acura, etc) and just recently finished Keyes European.

Gripforce, congrats on getting this beast!

Im just giving you a hard time, that extra 6% is dealer holdback and they will almost never share it. I say almost cause I got a piece of it on my CLS.

2012 CLS 63
Hey all,

Thank you very much for sharing your leasing info with the rest of the group! I have a 12CLS63 que'd up for April delivery and have decided to lease at that time. I have never leased before and the dealership told me at the origin of my order that they have zero incentives for the car and I'll probably have to pay MSRP--not buying it obviously. With this in mind, I want to be fully armed for battle... do you have any online resources in mind for navigating the treacherous waters of leasing? There are many terms bandied about that have slightly different definitions wherever I seem to look--I'm worried that the MB folks will have thier own proprietary terms and I will immediately be at a disadvantage. I know the most important aspect is the actual sales price of the car, however the other terms tend to get jumbled up/confusing. Any good resource for explaining this process? I have done a google search and have not found a good (and free) site for info.

TIA.

Which colour is it? On the pictures, it looks white but you're saying it's a matte finish? I'm on the market for a white 2012 cls. Thanks for letting me know.

It's called 'Magno Cashmere White' and it's a designo option.
I was not a big fan of matte finish but it's slowly growing on me.
In the past three days of ownership, I've heard so much compliments that I had no idea people liked the matte finish paint
IMO, pics don't this paint/finish justice.

Wow! I was about to order one Diamond White but I want Cashmere now! Do you remember how much they baked in the price for the designo paint? Must be $5kish I guess...
