2012 CLS63 AMG LEASE HELP
I'm new to the forum, however i have got so much information already from all users, this is a great site to find useful info on any MB.
Here is my dilemma, I can no longer wait to get a CLS 63 with AMG PP, but something tells me that I should, until the 2013 models comes out... Since the car is still pretty much new, with the new 5.5 engine, i wonder if anyone has any comments, mechanical, power, or general, if i should be waiting for the next year production... Honestly it's hard to wait.. Especially after i tested the beast, it's incredible machine, nothing on the road quite compares!
Also, i got a lease offer from MB dealer, i want to get an idea if this is far off from what everyone else got...
2012 CLS 63 AMG ($110,685) MSRP - with AMG Performance package
Selling price quoted $106,685 * do you think i can get better deal?
lease term 36 months, MF=0.00275, Residual 57% - at $1680 a month
I have always purchased my cars, this is the first time I'm leasing, for the business, and all prior purchases had a min 10% discount off MSRP. i have called all dealers in So. Cal, and so far no one gave me more than 4K discount, and this is with the current incentives, nothing more...
If anyone knows a dealer that can get me a good deal, please PM me, i would greatly appreciate that.. I really want to get this car ASAP and the only hold up is the wait for the 2013 model, and the price... I don't think 2013 will be much different than current model, so i'm left with the pricing challenge...
Anyone with any info that could get me better discount, please talk to me.
Thanks,
R.

There are a few threads in the is forum about pricing and such- Search for my name alone as I have answered alot of questions.
The base money factor on the CLS63 is .00195 if you are over 760 on TransUnion so that quote has dealer reserve involved. Your 57% residual appears to be a 12k miles per year at 36 months- this is fixed. Your price has some room in it- there is about 6% front end money on the CLS and then there is 6% holdback from the factory but most, if not all, dealers will not share that on a low allocation item like this.
So with that being said, you have some wiggle room (if your credit is over 760) in the money factory and in the price- Id push for at least 2% more off. Right now a .00275 is about 1.92% in APR equivalent over the base buyrate of .00195; that is a lot to me. Also you can get to .00185 if you do the auto pay feature.
You also didnt list your drive off numbers because it seems with that quote you also have some down involved. Remember there is a 1095 MBFS bank fee (non negotiable) as well.

Thank you VIC55, i will try to negotiate for more... My drive off is approximately 8.5k with 5k cap reduction... credit score is 800-up, so they should get me the best tier credit.
any dealer referral would be appreciated.
I'm in LA, don't mind going to any dealer within CA..
Thanks,
R

I kind of figured they are playing the numbers.
I think they are not taking any cap reduction even though my $5k is shown on the quote. This is smythe from SJ.
Can you guys help me out with the lease number, what should I truly have with the following terms:
MSRP = $110,685
Selling price = $106,685
36 months lease, 12k year, MF = 0.00195, residual = 57%,
With $5,000 Cap Reduction, Sales tax 8.25%
Lease per month = ?
Please help me with true monthly cost based on above terms so I can go back to them and try to get the deal.
Thanks everyone for the replies and PMs.

Sale price of 106685 minus 63090 / 36 is 1210.97 in depreciation (bank fee not rolled in)
106685 plus 63090 times MF of .00195 yeilds a service factor of 331.06
1210.97 plus 331.06 times tax of 8.25% is 1669.24 monthly payment (not including DMV fees and bank fee and not including the 5k reduction)
With the 5k cap reduction (not incl bank fee or DMV) your payment would be:
1508.34 (8.25% tax included).

Thanks a lot.
Does any one know or have purchased CLS 63 at 7-10% discount? Any CA dealer, if you can give me referral that would be greatly appreciated.
Since this is my first time leasing, I don't have much info. Also this is gonna be covered by my business, which allows me 1400 a month. I have to find a dealer to get me better discount to meet my budget.
I know I can go for base model, but I definately want the PP, which is almost 8k.
Thanks everyone.

If you dont like the offer dont sign- walk. As you approach your car the salesman may just run you down and pull you back in.

Great info, thanks.
I drove the cls63 last weekend and i'm hooked.
Both dealers tell me the money factor is higher on cls63 than cls550. Great to know it is the same on both vehicles. Almost like they're trying to get more money because they think cls63 buyers can pay more.
anyone know the march, 15,000 march residuals?

I got a quote on 15k , 12k and 10k miles, for lease term of 36 months - residual 52%, 57% and 59%
It's seems 12k is the best deal.
I have couple appointment schedule and will update over the weekend as I get more quotes from two more dealers.
There are only 4 so cal dealers that have CLS 63 with PP and black leather interior. All of them priced above 110k msrp.

I'm not sure. Looks like every dealer is quoting differently based on what they want to make. Especially with the CLS 63 being new and limited quantity available, I'm not finding any good deals. All I want is approximately 6-7k discount on the total 110-114k msrp. I will post an update when I get more quotes negotiated. So the best I got is 4k discount.

I was told the .00195 money factor was not available on the cls63 AMG eventhough i qualify for tier 1. They keep pounding everything is different for AMG and "pay to play". I guess I'm walking for now.
