do you think the rear of the cls is a little busy?
i got bored and started playing with a pic of the cls in Photoshop,
was thinking theres something about the rear of the cls that just looks a little too busy. i saw a picture that gave me an idea.
what do you think with the chrome band removed.?
i hate chrome, but it isnt as simple as just removing it.
not sure how it would look just painting the chrome band ?

I actually like little chrome details. Without them, I feel a car can look cheap. (just like every stupid M-sport BMW with the black trim) That said, I do think the rear of the CLS is a little busy. Its just too squat with very elongated tailights...

Color match would be ideal but I hear that the paint doesn't stick to the chrome very well and will chip. This is a wrap job and I have been debating which looks better myself. What do you think of the profile of the car with the chrome wrapped?
I am also losing the AMG plate....

yeah i agree about it being more about the rear looking a little too squat,
but i still think chrome on a car is more cheesy than black trim. its a fake suggestion.
if its not real chrome, but a piece of plastic trim, then why should it be the color of chrome.?
only thing is if you start removing chrome, you kinda have to remove it all over the car.
and i wish i could see an example before i go and try it on my own.

I have considered blacking out the chrome trim as well, but I cannot say I am a huge fan of it on the darker colors. Looks great on white and light silver though. On the black, the chrome tends to help define the car which I actually like.

I would consider blacking out the trim, if and I say if, i was gonna completely murder the car (door handles, trim, badges, exhaust, etc) but that was not my end result desire.

for me, i think just blacking out the chrome on the windows and rear band would be fine, and still leave the chrome badges, i like the name of the car and V8 BITURBO to be seen.
but as a touch of personalization, to remove the chrome which for me is unnecessary

Ok so I had a change of heart and my vinyl wrap dude just opened a shop by my house so I took the wagon there first and blacked out the window trim and the silver bar in the back.
Today Ill do the CLS- Ill keep the badges the same for contrast but I want to see the window trim go and the silver bar in the back too. I can always peel it if I dont like it and he doesnt charge that much to do the job.
