Its really 20%--- it was a gloomier day so no light made it thru to open up the cabin. During a normal sunny day I can really see well out and at night I have no issues. I always run 20% on all my cars.

20% on the wagon in gloomy weather:

if you do ever want this done I can just remove and paint all the chrome trim black, I am doing it to my car soon so you will be able to see what it looks like in person and decide if you want it done

Thanks. I definitely will need to see the black out trim on another car first. Not sure how it will look up against the blue. I am not generally a fan of chrome on a car but against the lunar blue it is actually not bad. Against your grey E63 with the carbon fiber spoiler and lip it should look on point and make the car look more aggresive.

This blue reminds me of my 2006 BMW 550 which had a sport package including all trims in black. It was gorgeous! I'm generally not a fan of black trims but I have to say, it would look even better than chrome on your blue cls, especially with your windows tinted. My 2 cents anyway...

Ok, I am a little intrigued. But to make it look right I would need to blackout all the badges and move to black wheels, right?

Actually, I'd say no. The oem wheels are somewhat gray, not chrome so I would only do the trims. Keep everything else the same. Perhaps I'm overly influenced by what my BMW looked like...Anyway, you can just do the trims and then decide uf you want to go the extra step with the wheels. It will look great without changing the wheels I'm sure. I must have pictures of my previous car somewhere...I'll post it tomorrow.

Just took the black wrap off as I found a guy who swears he can paint it and not have it chip. I think it looks way better with the chrome blacked out....THis first shot has no tint (windows are rolled down anyway) and the chrome blacked out:

Now in this one, the windows are tinted and the chrome is back...car is going to the paint guy tomorrow...thinking about color matching the chrome too...

I would say don't make it too black on the CLS. You can just do the chrome trim on top of the rear plate and maybe the side chrome trim.
Blacking out all the badges and black wheels will die out the elegant side of the car IMO - unless you want your car to look aggressive.

I have 20% on my W212 E63 too, and I have no issues vision wise.

Oh Vic, everytime I look at your car I want HRE SC series. Probably the P43SC.

As per my previous post about my previous blue BMW, this is the best picture I could find but it doesn't do justice. The rendering from Freefall may give you a better idea anyway.

Thanks for all the input. I think I am going to see how Asher's E63 turns out with the black out trim and then make the decision There is no substitute for seeing it in person.

So most of this is done....all trim painted an windows tinted:
CH35 mediums on the front/CH20 on back
Non-Metal extruded...not dyed
Lifetime warranty film and color stable

Also - You have to install additional felt so the tints don't scratch...
