Thanks Jason for the update. Sounds like Renntech is taking good care of you and one way or another that power drop off will be resolved. I'm still getting through break-in, and once I do it's Renntech (or possibly Kleemann) tune for me. Can't wait to feel the powaaaaaa!

I just did the same tune and dyno'd today.
Mine made 532rwhp stock with the performance package and today made 583rwhp with the renntech tune. Same issue up top.

We think it's the plugs and comp pulling timing to correct. Seeing this on other turbo cars Changing them out tomorrow and I'll let you know. I had to buy a special tool to change them and that was another $150.

Did you figure out the issue?

Yessir. I thought they may have rated them low. That's not normal? I have pics of the first Dyno on my phone I'll post up the graphs on top of each other when we finish with the new plugs. I can text you the graph if you PM me a number.

Yes it was a year old. I was wondering if OP figured out his issue.

Get that car to the track, Id love to see the street dyno on that much hp to wheels. But a dyno is a dyno so I can see based on model, operator, and conditions how the numbers could be up. Most of the cars that have been done on a dyno dynamics (CLS PP cars) run high 400's but DD's are notoriously low readers.

As for Freefall (Jason) I havent heard from him in a long time but I know some of the tuners that worked on his car and its gone thru a lot in the past 11 months mod wise.

Cool, I go to the track often but i have a 1200hp Turbo Mustang we race. I'll get the AMG on there for giggles one day soon. Most of our tracks here in texas are 1/8th mile though. I'll make a post with the dyno numbers and graph after the new plugs go in then some track times!

What info are you looking for exactly? The reason for power dropping off at the high end? Its the turbos...so I had them upgraded by Weistec and the car is insane. 710whp on 91 and we still have some fine tuning to do.

Was going through this thread and no that is not the case. Upgrading the turbos is actually a bolt on mod believe or not.

Thanks for the reply!
We did the plug swap on mine and did pick up 16rwhp to 600rwhp but you can tell the turbos are maxed flatning out on the curve. Unless its downpipe or intercooler flow but I'm not going that deep.
Nice numbers! : )

Thanks man. I also have the full exhaust from Wiestec, upgraded intercooler and ice tank in the trunk. Not a whole lot more that I can do at this point but we are planning on replacing the rear axles as well. Not a big deal. On race gas and a race gas tune we think we can get significantly more power as well.

dr. ss our turbo upgrade (and down pipes in this matter) does not require the engine to be removed. It requires a transmission type stand and about 5-6 hours of labor and the turbos can be removed and replaced. It is about the same labor as installing headers on say a C63. Our turbo upgrade also utilizes the stock CHRA (center housing) which means you don't have to swap out any oil/water lines, making the install clean and simple.

Freefalls results are typical on pump gas and our line of M157 upgrades. Hope this helps. Thanks!

Dang Jason, you don't mess around! Congrats on the upgraded turbos!!! I can only imagine how fast your car must be now given what it was doing before the upgrade.

I'm cleaning my air filters this weekend, so hopefully that keeps me close to you.

As for you vs Nick's Switzer tuned M5, I expect you to walk him handily.

This was before both of our upgrades. I was about 605 and I'm not sure what he was but he had a tune. I was trapping 161 on the half at a 50mph rolling start.

We haven't raced with the current set up yet where he is at 605 and I am at 710 but to be honest I am going after Drew at this point. I think with some good gas and a custom tune from Wiestec I have a chance. Both Nick and Drew I might add are close friends of mine in the real world and are some of the best guys you could meet. We'll all throw down though at the next airstrip attack event and it will be epic. Hopefully Ogle will come too who may have the fastest AMG around. So many crazy fast AMGs out here right now....love it.

This is what I did to Xtyper BTW...

Drew and I go waaay back bro back when his little Melbourne Red M3 probably trapped 114 mph... it was good to see him at HRE last week.
