Im ABSOLUTELY sure that more people will look at the CLS, and all you need to do to embarrass any M5 in a race is to get a tune.

That 40K in depreciation wont really matter after you beat an M5.

BUT, its your opinion, money, wants, etc. and its just my thought.

thanks, i know id probably be neck & neck with the m5, and with a tune id walk away easily.

the cls looks way sicker than the m5, i get so many looks, its really cool. but theres a difference between the enjoyment you get from seeing other people liking your car and giving you compliments and the first hand enjoyment - of driving your car.

which is more valuable?

im not sure.

i only have the former.

Good luck!
i wish you could be right.

im in canada .
there are about 7 or 8 used cls63's for sale now in canada. makes it harder to sell

i paid 133k including tax for my cls.
fully optioned m5 is around 122K.

Honey if it's that much of a decision to make and there seems to be 40k hanging in the balance - that'd be no decision for me at all. I work too hard and sacrifice too much to flush 40k like that. That's me tho. Everyone has different.

My advice: If you need to go fast, just floor it and let the car sort it out.

I predict a new M5 may be in your future.

Rock is right--- the DCT in my former M3, current GTR and PDK in the 997.2TT are faster. I have always felt that the MBZ paddle shifters were there for not much more than a "feel good" option for a driver but not performance enhancment. This holds true IMHO for the MCT (I have had 3 of these trannys). I just place it in S+ and let the computer do it at optimal RPM's. My butt tells me that the tunes on my M157's have slightly enhanced the shift speed in S+. Today from a dig I was (meant the computer) was banging out shifts from a dig with lovely exhaust pops all the way up to 100+... the tranny is fine but its still an automatic (planetary in nature) so it is what it is. A tune will help but I still feel the paddles are novelty in nature.
