mainly the problem is that my car also at the time shifted quick cuz it was tuned! Now it even shifts quicker than it used to! There was a post few days ago of a $899 discounted tune am sure it won't break ur back spending it on your car, might make all the difference to you to try it out. To my personal view I am not a fan of the M5 or it's stupid gadgets!

mainly, just sell it. No point owning a car that just makes you unhappy, regardless of financial loss. See what you can get for it privately.

Bahaha.. Well said, Cylinder Head. Okay I'm finished here. No point in arguing with an idiot. They'll bring you down to their level then beat you with experience. Have fun, all. I'm out.

Well as the originator of this post, which was started for some friendly advice, I have come to the conclusion that Mainly may not like his car....hmmm, suxs to be him LOL

For the rest of the participants in my thread, thank you - I bought the CLS 63 with p30 package. I love it! I came from a Kleenman Tuned 2011 C63...I still love the CLS. Car tastes are subjective....like women! Some like skinny cute women with no butt and A cups...others like bigger gals with healthy butts and C cups...

To each their own. I would never ever rant and rave and have a hissy fit in a Mercedes forum as to why one of the Mercedes flagship products is so inferior to a BMW. Don't get me wrong, BMW's are great cars - I bought both of my kids BMW's....But for me I enjoy/like my CLS 63.

Will I tune it....Duh...of course but thats like adding more whip cream to an already great dessert....unless you lactose in-tolerant...

Mainly, I wish you all the best for your search of happiness in your life because your anger, frustration and quite frankly juvenile behavior is an indication that there are more issues and insecurities in your life than just your selection of a $100+ car.

Congrats on the car I hope you enjoy her in good health any pics of the beauty? A tune will make a big difference it's an amazing engine that needs to be treated with a tune did you know AMG put this engine on the bench at full throttle for 500 hours none stop and it didn't even blink

My 2013 CLS63 w/P30 and LSD should arrive in late August. Like most others on this thread, I thoroughly researched and test drove the car before ordering. Personally, I did not feel that much lag/hesitation when accelerating (either down low or in the mid range).....and I demoed a P30 car. I loved the exhaust note (both at idle and when accelerating) and the acceleration was impressive. And, before anybody asks, I have owned a few fast cars including 6 Vipers.

Based on what others have said, I will still probably end up getting a tune, but I have a question for you guys. I will be doing a 2 year lease and need to know if there will be any issues when turning it in. Also, will a tune void the factory warranty? Thanks!

PS: Congrats to the OP on the new CLS63!! I'm sure you will love it!

i have sale for my car now,(after having it on the market for 6 weeks)

at the selling price i want, so no i dont intend to spend any money on it.

as far as the gear shift speed of your car. i cant comment on it. i can only comment on mine.

let me say that in sport + mode, the transmission shifts very fast.

however, its the slow response from the paddle shifters that i find unacceptable. and a poorly executed feature. especially when another brand has managed to execute it so much better....

amg who charges more for their product, should have been able to do better here, make this feature closer to their competition.

this is only one aspect. and a tuner confirmed to me that a tune would not change the response time from the paddle shifters. they said thats in the wiring design?(or something to that effect) of the paddle shifters, not the actual transmission. and they agreed with me that its annoying.

but all the other flaws , annoyances, that i have with the car wont change with a tune...

like how the add oil message is constantly popping up on the display
(ive added oil 3 times in the first 4 weeks of ownership)

how the suspension is rattles loose. after only a few days.

not to mention the instrument cluster that now rattles, (suddenly after breaking hard)

all the other things i mentioned, which are small things to everyone here. even though this IS after all supposed to be a luxury vehicle along with a performance vehicle, are reasons why i feel this way.

im only trying to state facts here. but everyone takes it as a personal shot towards them, or their cars.

if someone wants to fight, what do you expert me to do, lie down?

What's even more impressive they run the engine and deep freeze the block and then run again just to make sure the block doesn't crack all my info I got when I went to AMG headquarters for a tour amazing stuff there and with AMG performance center I am sure you can fit some cashmere soft leather

I hope you sell it and get what you want in the end the owner of a car can only decide on what he/she desire in options and all the rest all the best buddy, just don't run after Audi RS6 after this you are the first person that I have heard so much negative things from on this mighty machine! and for the record SLS and CLS63 share same quality leather.

That's not surprising given how much hp and tq you have tuned out of yours. I have a feeling your friend is heading down the same path as you since the stock one, even with the P30, now feels "weak."

Well fact is all this happened prior to my turbo upgrades I had the Brabus piggy back tune at the time, I took him out in my car last week just before I dropped it of for some more goodies and he was like he is happy with his car I think he is getting a tune some cooling and an exhaust, not everyone has gutts for glory it's a little hard to convince people to pull out there engines for upgrades, it will happen but someone has to pave it first
