Designo questions

Has anyone compared the Designo Jet Black interior against the AMG premium black leather in an AMG CLS63? If so, what are the differences?

Also, has any one seen the Designo graphite compared with the steel grey? I'd like to try something other than the typical AMG black or white.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Go for it. More exclusive, better resale value

The wait is more like 6 months and $20k more since my local dealer has a new 2012 with the options I want (carbon ceramic brakes and performance package) and a offering a substantial discount. The only missing options are the cf spoiler, cf inside trim (it has walnut), rear side airbags and rear sets heaters. The interior is the standard premium black leather. So for those few options and the switch to Jet Blak leather, there is a $22,000 difference and a 5-6 month wait (Oct. build date, plus Designo delay, plus shipping time.)

..... I think that I just answered my own question...

hehe, yes, it does sound like a nice car....
even my dealer, back in the day, told me the wait on an AMG is like 4 months, and it wasn't that long.....either time....
good things come to those who wait

is your 20k figure from just the designo paint and leather?
or that has more options?
what kind of discount are they giving you on the 2012?

I have Designo Graphite and in order to fully appreciate it you have to look at it in direct sunlight. You will see many colors -- blues, greens and browns, as well as a lot of metal flecks that really glisten. It's unique and visually impressive. I did not compare to steel grey -- that is a nice color, though very different.

The difference in price is due to no Designo interior and paint and no active driver assist, plus 10% off of list.
