Front windshield tint halo glare issue?

Any CLS owners with a front windshield tint have issues with halo glare from lights at night?

I was thinking about having my front windshield tinted (with 3M Crystalline 70 to help cut down on the Socal heat) but the shop owner mentioned due to the prominent rake angle of the front windshield, I would see halo glare at night and that some CLS customers of his have had the front tint removed.

Any input would be appreciated.

Windex and some elbow grease on the inside. You will be surprised by the thin film of grime that has accumulated.

Yes! I had my 2011 C63 front windshield tinted with a UV -ray blocker - similar to the film you listed and it did produce wierd halo effects. I got use to it. Cut heat down in the car too

Thanks for the feedback.

How significant is the halo effect?

Any updates to report? I was also very interested in using 3M Crystalline 70 on the windshield.

I thought all front windshields in the States are required to be laminated glass to meet DOT regulations. The laminate is plastic, which, when combined with the glass on both sides, already effectively block 99.9% of UVA and UVB.

Would you describe it as a minor, moderate or major problem?
In retrospect, would you do it again?
