^ sorry. I should have placed a at the end of my comment. I did not mean it to come off sounding so pissy.

Dont you guys know that Rock was indeed Mr Ohio of 1978???? Sheesh.

Dave after all the PM's Im glad you did a professional shoot, it really shows the lines of the car. I would have liked a little more color in the pics because Palladium can really pop in life. Great car, great initial mods too. I like the stock wheels with the drop and the spacers. I did the same for a short period of time but HRE is a drug I cant resist.

Love the car.

Actually, it was Mr. LA (Lower Akron) in 1979.

Thanks again for all of your help........always appreciated. Looking forward to having this thing tuned.

Agree on the color thing. I think he was going for an "old school" look. Here is one with a bit more color:

Rock:

Your car has the perfect stance. I am installing the Renntech/kW system on my 2012. What is the height fom the top of the fender arches to the ground, or fom the bottom of the rockers just after the front wheel wells and just in font of the rears to the gound?

Thanks,

Lew

Sorry, I'm from the motorcycle industry where a machined wheel is usually called a contrast cut. It's a machined wheel that offers contrasting finishes just like the upgraded OEM wheels we both have.

When 3 piece wheels were the rage it was easy as you could just do the barrel in a different finish but with the newer one piece wheels the choices are more limited.

Please post a review on the mid city interface when you get some time. One more quick question on it though if you don't mind, if you are not in the "audio", do you till get notified of alerts and what type somehow?

Hmm, it looks like I should have a serious look at the 9500ci.

What's this Mr Ohio/LA you folks are talking about above?

Hey Lew,

The height fom the superior aspect of the fender arches to the ground was between 25 1/2" to 25 3/4" (in front). I moved the car a couple of times and it seemed to vary. The back was maybe 1/4" higher. I used the KW fixed links in the rear. I am not sure how much tinkering the tech did.

Okay thanks for the explanation on contrast cut.

I took a few pictures and made a couple of videos of the 9500ci today. First, the front and rear laser shifters are discreetly mounted on the front lower grill (right and left) and the rear shifter is secured with your license plate screws. I am not sure where they mounted the GPS antenna or radar receiver but they are no where to be seen. The display bezel and control module were mounted perfectly in the glove box. The alerts do not come through the stereo system. There is a separate Escort speaker that alerts you with audible beeps and voice alerts regardless of the menu you are in. The videos show the MidCity Interface in action. It allows you to control the volume of the 9500 and you can change the operational mode of the unit. Do you need it? Not really..... but it is a good way to impress friends and forum members.

The first video is at start up (in audio mode). The second video shows me changing the 9500's programs through the steering wheel buttons

Now that I'm totally adapted to her and she to me, there's no turning back with my tune. You may want to look at the dyno sheet thread (https://mbworld.org/forums/cls55-amg...read-m157.html) to see the differences among the various tuners. Wise decision to wait a bit though. Enjoy!

Wow, that 9500ci installation looks really good. It's amazing how it gets integrated into the menu. The shifters installation look more discrete than those I have seen with the Laser Interceptor. Really amazing!

Car looks incredible buddy. Why the car didn't come at that ride height I do not understand.
