Track tire pressure
I have been running my 2013 CLS63 at the track for DE events. I'm wondering what tire pressures people are finding work best. I am using the stock wheels and tires. Last weekend I ran in the upper 30s. Any suggestions/input appreciated.

Wow 17psi. That is amazing. I guess I'll just have to try going lower. What characteristics am I looking for to judge if too low/too high? The CLS is a pretty big, heavy car so I was concerned with going too low.

My understanding is that you need more tire PSI above 150 mph to prevent tire failure @ the side wall of the tire.
When I drive @ or above 180 mph. (Not on public roads) I have been running mine @ 50 psi.
The tires do spine a lot more when under heavy acceleration @ lower speeds.

The track I have been running (http://www.motorsportranch.com/) the max speed is around 110mph. Numerous turns with heavy acceleration. Ideally I would like a set of track wheels but haven't pulled the trigger yet.
