Yes, the key on the paper is the same as the one on the discs. I'll try again shortly.

try it, but if it doesn't work for you either then it's probably tied to my VIN, the only thing I can think of is that it reads the VIN during installation and won't reload unless the VIN matches...

I always wonder how a ROM disc can prevent the disc from being used by others because nothing can be saved on a ROM...maybe.

+1 it has to work. there is no way for the disc to store information of which vin was used.

But at the same time, automakers know we'll pull something like this. Automakers should just offer free updates to the owners. No need for automakers to be so stingy especially to customers of their high-end cars.
