I always wonder how a ROM disc can prevent the disc from being used by others because nothing can be saved on a ROM...maybe.

But at the same time, automakers know we'll pull something like this. Automakers should just offer free updates to the owners. No need for automakers to be so stingy especially to customers of their high-end cars.
