Help with problem

I have a 2012 cls63 with renntech ecu, plugs and filters. Driving on highway check engine light came on felt like I lost power. When I pulled over I turn car off and on and car felt like nothing had happened. Anyone else have this issue? Should I take it in or wait to see if it happen again? Thanks for the help.

I would scan the car to see what codes popped up. Invest in a decent OBD scanner if you haven't already.

What ghiaguy said get Acton CP9125 for $45 from Amazon it really helps to read the codes but I believe the car is misfiring

Seems like a few other forum members have posted the same issue and I have not read any definitive answers on how to fix it. Some had stated colder plugs were needed but you already have that.
Talking with Jerry from Eurocharged, he stated that it seems to be occurring only on 2012s models and MB may have changed stuff on the 13s. I am learning now that MB did do some significant changes on the 13 models (different set up on the intercooler to help the over heating, software update, maybe even different plugs).
I am currently having an issue where my car does not seem to be able to power brake past the 2K rpm. The power gets shut down and the cars bogs down and idles back to 1K rpm. Getting it to do a burnout even in dyno mode is very finicky.
I know I am unfortunately not giving you an answer on your problem. It is definitely scary to think that the computer could act up like this. One member had a scare like this at full throttle and the car went into limp mode and he got lucky he had enough room to get on the side of the road without getting hit from cars behind him as he had no power to even keep the car steady. Renntech did come with an intermediate tune so I wonder what this is all about. I would call them and see what they say after you get the codes from the car.
Keep us abreast of the situation.

Thanks for the replies! It hasn't happened again and car has been driving perfect. Hopefully it was just a computer glitch.

My '13 SL63 does the exact same thing when I try to power brake.

My CLS63 does this sometimes when getting low on fuel, throttling up on a on ramp.I think we are getting a little air in the fuel line. I just stop the car turn of and back on.
