I suggested a roll race because that is what happens on the streets. Rarely are you able to be at the light and be able to race to the 1/4 mile. Rolls from any speed is closer to what happens out there. Again, I never said my CLS would be faster but I think it can be close due to the higher torque numbers.
Fully aware that I am comparing tuned versus stock so no need to flame.
The 997TT is not a better overall package than the CLS (2Dr vs 4Dr), the Panamera TTS is a better competitor and I did look at it but spending 50K more does not make sense.
I would take an R8GT or AMV12 before I take a 991TT. Again, it's not all about numbers but the overall special connection you get with a car and that is obviously left for interpretation and individual taste. You should know something about that with your CLK63.

SMP: my last comment will be that I never implied once that my CLS was faster than the PTT. My personal preference went to the AMG and last time I checked, that is my prerogative.
Back on the OPs subject, the M3 looks fine but I much prefer your M5.
