Question Tax Value of my CLS-WTF????

Hello drivers:

Received my yearly tax papers for my CLS and the value has INCREASED
from 79,440 in 2013 to 93,666!!!! over 14K increase!!!!!

has this ever happened to anyone else? I am waiting to hear back from the tax office but so far the only reason given is because "it was not valued correctly last year" which is complete BS to begin with!!!!

Can anyone add any insight on this crap??

Many thanx!!

you will probably have to contest their appraised value

Move to a friendly state .
On a serious note, I agree that $93K is probably high but $79K was obviously a mistake. Not sure it is worth fighting, what are we talking about here, a couple of $100 or so.

It is human nature and funny on how people get angry when the mistake hits their wallet but say nothing when it is in their favor.
You have been paying less than what you should have in the past.
They are probably not smart enough to bill you for that so I would think you are coming out on the winning side.

they are adjusting the bill to reflect an 84K price.....
and yes, evidently I did luck out for last year as someone made a mistake......
in NC our registration is combined with the paying of the tax so we do both at once....

thanx for the replies

the tax value is determined by the Tax Assessor's appraised value of cars homes etc...
living in NC we pay property tax on all things owned; County tax, city tax and a 10 dollar a year vehicle tax.....for each vehicle....it was recently altered so one has to pay the vehicle registration at the same time as property taxes....
don't know if this helps

I want a 991 Turbo so badly, congrats on that car. Have you made any decision on what wheels you are going to put on that beast?
