Oil Question
Hi,
I have a 2012 CLS63 AMG. How often do you guys add oil? I've been getting the "Check Engine Oil Level (Add 1 quart)" message often and wanted to know if this was normal. The last time I got it was May 3rd, and added a quart.. and just got it again yesterday (26th) and added another quart. Is this normal?

A quart of oil in 3 weeks sounds excessive, but how many miles are we talking here? Race miles? Either way, this seems excessive. Top it off and please check it at every fill up for the next few tanks.
On a previous Porsche (997.2), the dealer said that 1.6 quarts every 622 miles was considered within spec. After calling BS, he produced a service bulletin similar to this.
