I think that keeping the pleather in the middle was a nice touch. The pictures of the other trim almost looks like too much carbon fiber. The pleather breaks it up just enough. For me anyway.

That carbon is amazing.

I'm wondering if the CLS63 trim pieces are a direct swap into the CLS550. Besides the shifter console in the 63 of course.

w212 non amg and amg have basically no interchangeable parts on their center...i thought a few were and i bought a wood set on the Bay....i ended up using just the lower door strips, other wise i sent in my whole center,
cup holder surround, ash tray, ac holder and the gear area...did a little research and got it out no problem

Just got a quote from my dealer in regard to the CF moulding to swap out my burl walnut trim. $9,218.57. I just looked up all the part numbers on Mercteil & it'll be more than half of that thru them. Almost every part has a price difference of about 50%. So if I go this route I'll order my parts from them & have the console pieces wrapped in CF or get those replacement pieces in piano black.

I'm thinking about doing that as well. I'm hoping I can find a great carbon shop here in Houston.

vdub, did you have ambient lighting on your original moulding? If so, once your pieces got wrapped did you keep that feature or did they wrap over it? From the feel of my trim it looks like the ambient lighting is inside a groove of the moulding.

Got the shells, there was some chipping.......I mailed MACarbon and they did not hesitate to assure me they would replace them again........I was okay with the chip, but they insisted on doing the right thing.......hats off and respect MACabon for this!!

NOPE. Just parts & sales tax.

I'm going to work with DB carbon. They'll acquire the pieces from MB in Germany & wrap them in carbon for me. That way I'll still have my OEM pieces in case I need them. I won't do it until sometime next year tho. I have more pressing priorities.
