Hey guys, i did confirm with the manufacturer it fits 2012 to present E63 and CLS63 2WD and AWD.
For the AWD models you will need to adapt downpipes to fit 100% by cutting them and repositioning.
Thanks!

Could someone explain the difference between the Catless systems and the Sport Cat systems?
(I've mainly been looking at Renntech and Weistec systems)
Might be a noob question, but I always thought the Cat was important for environmental and day to day uses with all the sensors (Like O2) that the cars have. Would appreciate clarification of the two types of systems and what suits day-to-day needs more.
Thanks for any info!
This can also help me decide what to get for a daily (not track) driven CLS63.

Simplest way to explain it, is when it comes to turbochargers, back pressure is the enemy. Turbos will spool up and hold peak RPM and consequently boost with the least exhaust restriction. If you look at turbo race cars you may see a massive 3-5" diameter short radius dump pipe from the turbine section. This is to provide as free of a flow as possible for the exhaust gases.
Now, certainly in a street car, and especially a luxury street car like a benz there are other considerations. Namely cars used on the street require emissions control equipment to comply with regulations. Proper tuning addresses any O2, or fueling related concerns, so drivability would be unaffected once tuned. Additionally removing catalytic converters will add more noise and smell of fuel in the exhaust which some luxury drivers find obnoxious ( others may find the exhaust noise to be bad ***, so to each there own..).
However from a performance perspective, specifically on the M157, you are giving up a huge difference in spool time and overall Torque production. The stock turbos have relatively small exhaust turbine wheels, so overall exhaust diameter is a limiter to a point, and after that its flow limited to the turbine. The full turbo-back pipes listed here are much more difficult to install versus catted mid pipes as well, so installation effort or cost should be considered.
Overall full catless turbo back down pipes will spool fastest and make most power and torque, but will be more difficult to install, be significantly louder and may be accompanied by faint smell of fuel....Nothing come free...

Any dynos of the tune only, versus tune with these new upgraded downpipes?
It would be nice to see exactly how much more these help over the standard catless midpipes on the market which only seem to add 10-15hp. Obviously this is a better design, but exactly how much would be nice to see

Any video clips of the downpipes in action?
