recently just bought a 2014 Mercedes cls 550 and the stock brakes are horrible. Doesn’t give me confidence at all at high speed. Really want to upgrade my braking system but racing brakes are expensive! Can I just replace all 4 brake pads?

i feel the same way in mine, I just bought a 2014 cls550 I had a c300 4matic and I loved that thing, the handling and the braking was great to me, I had a lot of fun in that car. The upgrade to the cls is unbelievable, it’s super fast but the braking seems lacking for the size and strength of the car, kinda wish I got it in 4matic but I got a great deal on the vehicle imo. Could just be time for pad/rotor replacement but either way instead of replacing wth stock I’m going to upgrade the rotors and pads, I’ll post when and what parts I order.

You updated your standard CLS550/CLS500 to a 390mm brake setup?
Which rotors are you using?
Who did your adapter for the Calipers?
Could you produce a set for me?
The rotor I source are the same of the GT63 and which are 2 piece. The adapter is a company build it for me but I had to do a few custom work to cut it down.

Rotors are GT63, ok. I will check them. 🤔

Is your car a 4-Matic?
My friend would give me his C63 Calipers for free, so it would be cool to upgrade the front brakes. But nobody has adapters and the correct rotos. 🙈

Yes I spoke with him, he will provide the necessary information and I will provide it for you. Also it's plug and play. Because of RB, I went and built my own setup.

The site is called: www.tro-nik.com. and he told me, that he has a adapter for 390x36mm setup with BREMBO 09.9313.33. I think, it would be very nice to know for all the guys here in MBWorld, where they can buy such adapters. That's why I'm sharing these infos.

The bracket price range from about $275 to about $350 its all about who's making it. The one you located from www.tro-nik.com, looks very similar to mine. What ever shop you decide to go with make sure they don't make the bracket plate too thick.
