Backwards badging??

New member here and I'm just about to be an owner of a cls63s. Only thing is the badging on the trunk lid is backwards. I usually see the cls63 on the driver side and the s amg on the passenger side. But the car I'm looking to buy has the badging backwards. The dealer assures me the car has not been modified but I wanted to get a second opinion.

What do you guys think? Would Mercedes ship cars with different badges?

That must've been changed by the previous owner. Yes, it's backwards.

Perhaps the previous guy de-badged and the dealer put the badges on backwards???

I thought the S models do come that way from factory? looks fine to me, congrats on the new ride, I love my CLS

What year is the car? In 2016, the AMG was moved to the driver's side on the CLS and other AMG models.

I thought it was for vehicles manufactured the 2nd half of the year had there badges reversed to show they were late models or something, i have a 2016 cls63 and i saw one of the same year with the badges reversed
