Sorry to add to the plethora of random questions about wheel designs on this forum. I have been researching a wealth of 20" wheel options to upgrade my ugly stock rims. I am looking at a design similar to LOMA RS1-MB (pics shown below) which is currently way out of my budget. Any suggestions?
Thanks mate. I love the CVT and to be honest it was my first choice as a wheel and still is the design I like the most. But I was hoping to get a lighter wheel and not a cast wheel. The CVT weighs more than all the similar directional wheel equivalents I've looked at. CVT in my opinion is a gorgeous wheel. But I want something that isn't cast and heavy but isn't going to bankrupt me either!
Then I discovered the Stance SF01 which is lighter and advertised as a rotary flow wheel. I love the directional wheels and that was going to be my choice. Then I came across the LOMA website and this wheel. Now finding it hard to settle for a wheel. But what would sway me is if I find a forged or lightweight well manufactured wheel that is similar to either of these choices which isn't going to cost a fortune. I know many will say what you pay is what you get. But spending extravagant amounts on the wheel isn't what I'm looking for. I just want to get rid of the awful-looking very-oldfashioned stock rims and replace them with something that will stand out. Isn't that why we all bought a CLS? To be different? It's a unique and uncommon car that it deserves unique wheels!

I'm using Vossen VFS-4. They are Hybrid Forged which are stronger and lighter then the cast wheels. I absolutely love them. They are not super expensive either.

We cut every wheel to the exact spec you want right here in Miami, FL within just 4 weeks. So the Signature Wheels guys got in contact with me about their SV302S wheel which has a similar design to the photos I posted and gave me a deal. I've signed up for these wheels now waiting for them to be built. Their engineering department has advised me that the offset for my car stock suspension will be:
20x9.5 offset +25 fronts
20x11 offset +40 rears
Trying to go for the flush + deep concave look!
Now my question is regarding tyres; there are some awesome pics of really fat rubber in the 305 and up thread. Anyone have any advice or experience of the beefiest tires I could slap on. Going for either Michelin PSS or PS4S. Asking the Signature Wheel guys they seem to recommend 265/30/20 for the fronts as widest size. I did enquire as to whether I can slap on 275/35/20 fronts and 325/30/20 rears on the new wheels with stock suspension/ride height but haven't got a response. What do you all think? Any suggestions?
Can't find the PS4S in a good size in Sydney. Any recommendations on where to buy from overseas for a good deal?
I was hoping for an opinion about what everyone recommends for tire sizes (front rims 20x9.5; rear 20x11). I'm keen to fill the wheel well (not planning on changing ride height). New wheels being made and I'm hoping to order the tires so they are shipped and ready by the time the wheels arrive. Any other suggestions?

nice choice! do the 9.5 and 11s fit easily? i was thinking id have to go with 9 and 10 width...what wheel is that and how much do they run roughly?
Let this be a warning to everyone. I have steelwire poking out of the inside of my seriously worn out rear wheels. I had been waiting for my order to arrive so I can rectify this safety issue asap.
I received the wheels 2 days ago and went to get them fitted today. Soon my elation turned to depression as I was told by the tyre shop that with the wheel size and offset (20×9.5 +25 fronts and 20×11 +40 rears) that the wheel sizes I wanted weren't going to work (PS4S 265/35/20 and 305/30/20).
I insisted that the wheels were designed by Signature for 265 fronts and 305 rears and asked them to persist. Being the fantastic tyre shop they are and great service they decided to proceed with wrapping the wheels with the tyres on 1 front and 1 rear.
Just to clarify I am hellbent on the pilot sport 4s tyres, hence limited by choice of tyre sizes. The 265/35/20 jammed on mid-turn of the wheel and was not even close to clearing the wheelarch cover. The 305/30/20 sat perfectly. So we tried the 255/35/20 and that jammed again. Third try was 265/30/20 which still scrubs on mid-turn but then clears the plastic. Dilemma is smaller sizes like the 245 is too small for the 9.5 wheel and I am gutted that this setup isn't working.
So I'm in a situation were I gotta wait for 305/25/20 super sports (instead of the ps4s) to be ordered in. And I will have to use 265/30/20 tyres which rub and put up with the rubbing until it polishes the plastic wheel arch cover over time.
I am writing this to warn anyone considering wheel upgrade to take these potential issues into account. There was definitely a lack of information available on tyre options be it from the signature wheels and this forum. So be warned, ordering wheels isn't going to be smooth sailing if you aim for an aggressive offset and double and triple check that with your wheel manufacturers before going through with the orders.
In summary, a CLS63 will NOT take a 265/35/20 or 255/35/20 wheel at the front and you'll struggle to make the 265/30/20 work as there will be rubbing issues. At the rear, 305/30/20 did work but there is no corresponding/matching tyre size (diameterwise) at the front that won't rub. So 305/25/20 is the largest possible size. I've learnt that the hard way in a pretty disappointing day today.
Hope this saves someone the pain and frustration.
Also any suggestions welcome.

Bro, I had a hell of a time trying to fit 245/35/20 PS4S on my CLS550 with less aggressive offset. I tried all spacers till my offset was below +20 but still didnt work. Everyone was scratching their heads as this should be easy fit on a 20x9. Last resort changed the tire to PSS without any spacer and boom it fit without any rubbing. PS4S is a very tall tire. Much taller then average tires. Try using PSS K1 tires with 255/35 and im pretty sure it will work. CLS63 have wider fenders than 550 so should not be a problem. Give it a try and im sure 305/30 will fit in rear without any problem

Damn, you must be pissed! I was worried about your fitment when you said you're going with those wheel sizes and offsets on 35 & 30 series tires. Are you lowered or stock height? I ordred my wheels on Monday and went with 20X9 +32MM fronts & 20X10.5 +30MM rears, with 255/30/20 & 305/25/20 tires. My performance shop & wheel shop both agreed this is the setup to go with since I'm looking for the wheels to be flush with fenders when I lower my 63 on KWs. If I wasn't going to lower the car, then they recommened 20x11 +42 offset in the rear, but still on 25 series tires. I won't know for 6-8 weeks until my wheels & tires arrive.
The tyre shop got the 305/25/20 PSS in. Still going with the 265/30/20 PS4S fronts.
I did check with them about tyre wall height. The PSS and PS4S are allegedly identical. And I wasn't going to make the tyre shop try a 5th tyre on my wheel out of fear of damaging the wheel. Anyways, wheels are on. Rubbing on front present but I'm sure it'll resurface itself over time and the noise will settle!
Most importantly the beast finally has the look I've always wanted! The photos are taken in a hurry as I needed to get back to work. I am really digging these Signature wheels and their finish! I'll post up some more pics when I get some free time to cruise around!
