Any of you guys come out in the morning to washer fluid on the floor of their garage? That was me this morning. I'll pull the fender liner and check for leaks but just curious if anyone has had issues with this in the past. I have been running straight distilled water for the past few months without problems (never freezes in south florida). All Ive read is the rain-x fluid causing sensor issues.
Tank is cracked at the bottom seam. I bet when it was low the other day and when I topped it off, the weight of the water splashing into the bottom may have been the last straw. Looks like there is some blue build up around the crack from it slowly leaking over the past couple months. 2048690300 is the tank number (triple check this on your vehicle though as there are a few variants), hoping the install is fairly straight forward!

Got the tank delivered and installed this morning. I put it in myself with hand tools in about 2 hours in my 90 degree garage, but did take breaks. The hardest part is removing the upper mounting bolt as its pretty much impossible to get to with any hand tools (ended up using a 3/8 ratchet attached to 3 extensions and a swivel socket). The second challenge was sealing the heating element cap back onto the new tank as you have to do it while its back installed in the car. I then filled the tank up and waited an hour to see if anything leaked. The grommets and clips all get re-used from the old tank and from what I could tell everything looked pretty much new that I swapped over to the new tank (pumps, grommets, wiring). Drove the car around and no more CHECK WASHER FLUID error!

Could have easily had my Indy do this one but honestly wanted to tackle it myself. Anything more difficult and I'd give him a call. Having a lift while doing this would make it much easier.
