700 WHP 792 WTQ 2016 CLS 63S Tune + Meth Injection
Hello Everyone,
This is my first post I been reading for the last few months about things I should do for the 16 CLS 63S. My IG name is @Mawk26 but let’s get into it.
So I first got a ECU Tune new sparks and oil change from Labworx Development in Cherry Hill NJ. IG name : @Golabworx Tuner: Kevin Baldi IG name: @Kevin_doesnt_lift.
First Tune: (Dyno Sheet Attached)
Results on the Mustang Dyno were 664 WHP And 767 WTQ (Stock DP, Stock Turbos, Stock Airboxes + Filters)
Second Tune: (Dyno Sheet Attached)
This time we added the AMS Carbon Fiber air boxes and AEM Meth Injection Kit And a Re-Tune to help with the Meth Kit. Results 698 WHP and 792 WTQ
Sounds Accurate? Not sure of the boost level used on dyno
I Have Seen 847 WHP On a CLS 63 Wonder if I can get there....
New Built starts in 2 weeks February 2019
True Turbo Backing Downpipes
Upgraded Turbos
ECU & TCU Tune
AMS Primary Heat Exchanger Upgrade
Upgraded Motor Mounts
Any suggestions on what else I should or NEED to do?

From my experience the TCU makes the car a bit laggy from a dead stop, to protect transmission from the huge amg torque.
Sounds like you found someone who can safely tune the TCU, is this Kevin that is able to do it or another place?

you need to run that thing on the drag strip, very curious to see the numbers it puts down.

Reason is because with all the torque especially on tuned car a TCU tune would allow too much in the lower gears=self destruction of tranny. I think the solution would be to reinforce the transmission with some stronger parts etc. its a big job.

wow any suggestions on what I should or can do for the transmission or should I just stay below a certain WHP
#11
Not sure what a wavetrace differential is but i dont think its affects the software which makes the restrict the torque in the first and second gear upon take off, which is the problem with these launches,
#12
Once you go beyond that its important to reinforce the transmisson wiht upgraded parts to keep it reliable from what i understand.

ive had other cars before such as n54 bmw 335i, stage 1 tune the difference was night n day it added like 60-70hp and i was like "daamn thats fast you could definitely feel it"
now on this car, after stage 1 tune it was more like "holy **** wtf did you do to my car" lol the bang you get for your buck is ridiculous. especially when the car in stock form is already fast.

you definitely want the tune bro.

yup, same feeling here, the reason is because the torque just goes through the roof after a tune. AMG doesn’t even come close to pushing the m157 to its limit in stock form even with the “S” amg models.

well, the MCT transmission is rated to be good for up to 1000nm of torque which is about 750WTQ. Thats pretty much what the car reaches on stage 2 with the stock turbos (tune, downpipes)

I seen a dyno sheet Done on a DynoJet and the out come with Meth Kit, Ice Box (whatever that is) pure stage 2 Turbos resulting in 847 WHP CLS 63 AMG “S” Model, And a E63 resulting in 840 WHP

Does that sound Accurate?
Appreciate the help as well!

Many are looking at your peak numbers but if you keep looking and understanding a dyno graph how the power band is very important vs peak your car falls on power on top end bad..Either your turbos are to small and fall flat on top rpm or your car is heat soaking bad and pulling a ton of timing. Also ,your car needs a polish bad.

Its so bad I just shift early because I know it’s about to lose power.....
and yes I have stock turbos, I’m upgrading the turbos and doing true turbo backing DPS as well. When I do a new dyno I’ll push as well as track numbers
Hope this side looks better I only did the side people could see the other side of the car was blocked off from people but great eye, needs a true paint correction

Still a bad *** car ,the cls was one of my favorite amg made!! That's the thing with black there sick when polished and corrected but they don't last that way not even with the ceramic coating it's just the nature of the black..I'm glad you didn't take my post offensive as you undertstood my post exactly what I meant..or turbos I would not use pure look for some custom turbos guys as they can make better and larger types for the money..Only thin about the bi platforum is the dam tq limiters they really hold this beast back!!

Hand wash with mits is the minimum. Hand wash with mits, two buckets and a foam gun is preferred. Otherwise, you’ll just end up scratching the ceramic coating.

a good ceramic coating...I prefer CQuartz...will absolutely last IF you wash the car correctly. I treated my wife’s previous M4 when we bought it and there weren’t any swirls on the paint when we traded it 3 years later. And that’s with one treatment and no ‘reload’. Water still beaded.

What type of Upgraded parts? So should I do a TCU Tune and Tranny upgraded parts? I am going Pure Turbos (Stage 2) the other vendor wouldn’t make just 1 set of ball bearing turbos (They would only do 10 orders min)
