Hello guys and I hope you guys can help me !! Issue with my car :(
Well i have a 2012 cls550, I've had for about 8 months now, i really love this car, its so powerful and drives like a dream, i get compliments at work all the time, well let me get to the point, like a month ago while driving to work early in the morning, i came to stop light and while idling it randomly stall so i started her right back off and it did start and it drove off normaly, well its been doing the same ever since that day, i change the battery, air filters and purge valve, what it is weird its that in only does it once every like 2 weeks and while reaching normal temperature after that, it idles normal and it doesnt stall, also no check engine light and shifts smoothly through evey gear.

Unfortunately i have not, thats my next step i will perform, im just kinda concerned that in only stalls while in drive and idling but not like when i shift in to neutral or park , only after i stop and idle for like a 1 minute and in gear and still warming up.

This happened to me years ago... not in a merc though. I was driving on a highway and my car simply stalled. Thanks GOD it was late at night and the highway was pretty empty. Long story short... it was the fuel filter that was clogged up. Hope someone with more experience could chime in. Best of luck fixing this issue.

Do you guys know if we can just replace the fuel filter or do we need to change the whole low pressure pump/assembly under the rear seat? I know on my E55 its all one unit that needs to be replaced.

I have a 12 CLS63 it indeed has eco mode, I cant say for sure whether or not you have it but do you have a green button that says eco mode?
if you do then this could be eco stop/start problem. If you don't have eco mode you should get your car checked out as it is most likely something else
if you dont have eco mode I would suspect a fuel issue possibly

Yeah later i did realize i was in the wrong section lol and for the eco mode, i dont think my car has that feature, since it doesnt have that eco mode button except for transmission sport mode manual mode and e mode which am sure its for comfort mode. I am also kinda leaning towards a fuel related issue, am just hoping its not anything transmission related since it only stalls while in gear.

It only happens during first start and while it hasnt fully warmed up and idling, lets say at a red light , it doesnt stall while driving or when it has reached normal temperature. I did tried driving it on s mode for a few days to test it out and it did stall on me once. Its not throwing any codes and no weird sounds or vibrations and the transmission doesnt seem to have any issues as it shifts smoothly through every gear, today after starting it her up and letting it idle for like 2 or minutes so i shifted in to drive, i just stood there for a solid 10 minutes so i could catch it on video but it didnt shut off, i just dont have a single clue what it could be.

Did a quick search and it seems like, at least in the w212 E550 (couldn't see anything about the E63, but I suppose it's the same), you need to change the whole assembly, pump and filter together. About 3 bills for the part.
