Parking Lights to run as DRL's aswell
Hey guys, just wondering if anyone knows what would be required or how to make the Parking lights run as DRL's aswell so that both the normal DRL (bottom strip) and the parking lights ( the sideways U shape in the main lights) run both at the same time? ive seen a few cars run the setup i just dont know what would be required if its just coding or physical hardware/wiring

Needs to be programmed with STAR. I have mine setup that they’re both on during the day and I can do turn the light switch one click to the left to turn off low beam and run with only the parking and DLR in low lighting conditions.

I spent couple of hours trying to figure out coding for the front SAM on my 2013 CLS and gave up... based on the amount of "secrecy" around this subject I would call it busted
Wiring is the only way...

ok, refreshing the thread...
possible - just need the right tool for the job.
Vediamo:
1. Connect to SAMF_172 (my car is pre-facelift x218)
2. Open Functions, run DJ_Securityaccess
3. Coding: VDC_Parameter_Tagfahrlichr
a. PLSM_TFL_POS - change to JA
b. Perform coding.
4. Open Download - DL_EEPROM_SCHREIBEN, keep default settings, confirm OK.
5. Functions -> FN_Hardreset
6. Start the engine…

I have a MB w204 prefacelift Y2010. There is not DRL installed . I would like to have a DRL upgrade.
However new headlighs including DRLs are expensive and I am not sure all are compliant with European driving rules.
On my car it is possible to activate a day light function using the on board computer menu, in this case the result is
During day time
. Front lights : Low beams ON, parking lights ON
. Tail lights and license plate lights ON
During night
. Front lights Low beams ON, parking lights ON
. Tail s and license plate lights ON
I would like to know if it possible to modify the coding to obtain when day runing lights activated :
During day time :
. Front lights : Low beam OFF, parking lights ON
. Tail and license plate lights ON
During night :
. Front lights : Low beam ON, parking light ON (dimmed if possible)
. Tail an license plate lights ON
Many thanks in advance for reply
