Steering wheel stopped going down

Got a 2014 CLS63 AMG S. The last few weeks the "Auxiliary Battery Mali function" popped up twice but hasn't been back. Around that same time, the steering wheel stopped going down to the level I like when I start the car. When I pull the lever down to lower it, I can hear it click but doesn't move. However, it does go back and forth just fine. Also, the one time it was up, the auto brake didn't work at a red light. However, that is working fine now. I looked online and didn't see anything regarding the issue im having.

Thoughts?

I had the same problem with the steering wheel (my batteries are new). See post 44 for the attachment.

My motor was fine, the right bump while holding the switch made it move, it required a programming adjustment.

Interesting. I will try this, thank you. It has done this before so I shut the car off and it worked when I turned it back on but that was the only time.

Unfortunately, this didn't work for me. This sucker will not budge.

Poor technique.

I had to try many directions of force until it moved. It was a punch with the left hand that did it, had to cross over and work the switch with my right.

haha! So I extended the steering wheel all the way out. I used my palm to hit the top while holding the switch lever down. I hit it hard, enough till it hurt and sounded like it was about to break off the dash heh.
