I don't post that often but I felt the need to today seeing that I'm still alive and laid up in this bed. Last Saturday my lady an I were headed out for dinner when a car pulled out and slammed right into us. I did not have time to react before the hit which sent down into a creek upside down. It took a few seconds to get my bearings together I smelled what I thought was burning wires. I looked over at my lady she was screaming. I told her that we were not going to die in the car so after I couldn't get the drivers door open I looked over at her and she jumped in the back seat and as I tried to climbed out I yelled out that I think I broke my leg. Thank god we have frameless windows. I was able to push the window out from the top and climbed out of the car. she climbed out the back window which shattered on impact. We got on the bank of the creek and she went into shock. I thought I lost her she had become unresponsive so I tend to her until medical arrived. We got banged up pretty bad but we are alive.no broken bones but a lot of other injuries neck, back elbow leg she has neck back check stomach lots of cuts. I'm on crutches left leg is bruised really bad. I keep playing it over and over in my mind. To make maters worse the police report said the woman was on drugs and alcohol..
I say all this to say that I believe if we had been in my 2 seater we would have died for sure. That is a very strong safe car so you know I am looking for another one.
MY lawyer is on the job. Not sure how long the process is going to take I just hate to start over with another car. I do plan on getting another CLS 63. I really like that car. I found a nice 2018 the other day that I want I explained to the guy what had just happened to me so I'll see how that goes. Thanks for all the kind thoughts. But I tell you what, you never know how you are going to react until you are in the mist of it. It was crazy it happened so fast . We hit, the car started to slide next thing I knew we were upside down. I could smell burnt wires then I was like we have to get out of here the gas tank was full creek water was entering the car so I was like we are not going to die in this car. That's when I tried to move and my left leg was in so much pain. I yelled out I think I broke my leg. But we crawled out and we survived that's all that really matters. We are at home safe now recuperating.
Thanks but I really wanted the upgrades the my 15 didn't have like remote start and Android auto. I had been planning to have that feature added to my car, but if the new car comes with them and low miles I just might get it. Only 28K, But I'm a little salty because, I do all my own maintenance and I had just did the engine oil and transmission fluid change front brakes and spark plugs. Detailed it and ready for an awesome date with my lady then this happened. Items can be replaced but not a life. I'm just thankful we made it out alive.

Wow, that's quite a crash, and we're all really glad to hear you both survived it. Quite the testament to the engineering and safety design of your MB vehicle.
