New Ignition Coils Ordered

Placed an order with FCPEuro for ignition coils, BOSCH BOS-0221604067. I've already replaced the plugs, then decided after doing so that is was past time to replace the coils. The car has 50,000 miles on it, but it's 10 years old. Regardless of time or miles, I feel better about having new plugs and coil packs with new boots. It's not a hard job, if you've never done it, but would like to, all you need is a swivel to attach to a quarter inch short extension and the proper E8 socket. The hardest part is pulling the boots off the plugs... but if you're replacing them, then don't worry about tearing them. Just grab 'em and yank 'em off. The stock boots have an internal aluminum tube, and spring wire conductors that mate to the plug tops and the coil base. You can't hurt them. I dissected one, and the dissection alone was difficult. The rubber is very strong, tenacious even, and very well made. So just grab them and pull. Hoping that with new plugs and coil packs, I'll be good for another 50,000 miles of worry free driving.

Just to document the occurrence of the coil change here.. which is why I'm typing this... because, um, I did the change today and it went smooth. No issues, didn't drop a screw, or a tool, or burn myself... and when I started the car it ran probably (I think?) better, meaning, it seemed smoother than before? It's hard to say for sure, but to justify doing the job, I have to say it runs better, right? At least that's what I tell my wife, so she doesn't think I'm just wasting money. Ok, done.
