Repaint calipers or buy new?

I have been wanting to have a new caliper color......not sure if I should buy new or have them repainted....with high heat-resistant paint?
Also would like to fix/replace the (getting cloudy) headlamps. My car has never been garage kept and has taken a beating over the years from the elements.
I like the 2012 lamps but not sure if I should get newer ones with different lighting scheme.
Upon looking online it's confusing where to shop. There are many vendors.

Any insight/advice welcome.

Seriously? I have seen you post so many useful posts.....seriously?

If it were my car - clean em and paint em at home. Get some new AMG stickers online and clear coat em.

I recall other forum posts on this topic. Calipers exist in a hazardous environment, and a can of Rustoleum is likely become part of your periodic A and B service rituals. You might find longer lasting results by removing the calipers and having them powder coated with a high temp finish. Either option is considerable effort for a cosmetic effect you can't see from the driver's seat, and I can assure you I care not what color your calipers are.

Thanx for the input gents

True is it only cosmetics, but they just look so shirty and undeserving of the AMG brand

Brand new ones are 5K (with installation) maybe it would be nice to have a spare set/different color set.

I almost started painting mine the other night when I changed my pads....but, there have been many threads and videos of folks hanging the calipers in the wheel well - shielding off with plastic and using a rattle can of "high temp" paint to take care of the caliper(s). Then stickers, then clear. Dozens of examples (Kenny????????).

If it was a show car or what ever - sure, maybe I could justify removal and powder coating. My car(s)? Daily drivers. Anything would look better than their current appearance from 2'.

I had posted a mild redo of my brakes. The clear was peeling so I removed the clear and resprayed with the calipers on the car. It wasn’t a perfect fixed, but they’ve lasted really well through the season. The only way to make it perfect would be to remove them off the car. I used vht caliper paint.

The peeling of the clear coat is the beginning of the end for good looking calipers.....I hate the look. The way the shop described 'the guy' who does them was a real turn off and I don't want to pay 5K for new.
Guess I'll look into some kind of DIY project.
