Was this the first set from HRE for a CLS? Exactly what was the issue with the specs and them not believing it would work?

yes, first set ordered and built, they had never measured or seen the car from underneath, and it was a little hard for them to believe that the CLS could fit a more aggreesive offset than the SL, seeing as to all the other Mercedes traditionally do not have much room under the fenders. I was even surprised at first, measured everything 4x just to make sure I was not making a mistake.

MEATY! Looks sweet. Classy look.

Open garage door and your shadow muddles the composition, however (just kidding)

BTW Your car is hot, but your garage is hotter.

Congrats.

How's the ride with those 20" rims? Did it make it harsher?

The ride is not much harsher at all. I was actually surprised. Drove to LA this weekend and back. No troubles what so ever. This car turns heads almost as much as the Murcielago.

I didn't know this was the first set of HRE's for a CLS 55 Peter! Seriously I can;t stop looking at the car. It looks amazing with the wheels. As usual your service does not dissapoint!

Peter,

So what offsets were used on this set?

Hi redlinerobert

you've had the 20x11's on for some time now - curious to know if have had any rubbing at all - and if not have you had passengers in the rear seats?

Appreciate any feedback

Siswati

No rubbing at all, even with 4 people in the car. Peter is the man! However I did hit a curb this weekend in LA so I need to get the rear wheel polished to fix it

unless u opt for the covered wagon option, it doesnt look right on the CLS IMO, the wheels are too big. https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...&highlight=21s

Arling!

Dude I am sorry about last week. It turned out that I didnt have a nail - I took the wheel off to inspect and it turned out to be nothing.

I'll be back down a week from Friday with KevinM. We will surely come by if time allows - you're not open Saturdays? I went by Saturday and your place was closed.....
