its true that i was confused about which one to get but ill probably go for the CLS cause all my friends are saying its kinda late to get an SL55 now + the CLS is new and looks hot so ill more likely go for the CLS

This is more directed at everyone, not some college kid. I did have both, and my SL had red interior. I didnt know the CLS came with red interior. I preferred the SL cuz it's 2 cars in one and having the top down is sweet.

Umm Doctodd no offense but if being 22 is still a kid to you i wonder how old you may be... i just asked for some help no need to throw words at each other and yes the CLS does come with red interior the dealer in my country doesn't have any in stock so its a 3 month wait for either the SL or CLS might as well wait for something more unique

22 yr old KID should drive Toyota Corolla or if Mercedes than only A,B,C Classes [if daddy's rich] :p
SL is more exclusive, CLS is more stylish.
i don't know where do you live but sl 55 amg seems to be more expensive than cls.
you should ask yourself what kind of car exactly do you need - 2-seat roadster or 4-door coupe/limusine. these are 2 very different vehicles...
go for a walk and think out, sleep on we won't be responsible for bad choice

ps....like i said, the SL55 was much more exciting and fun, even if there are more on the road than CLS55's. With the top down and the revving of the engine right behind you, it isnt a hard decision. You can probably test drive an SL55 and E55. The E55 is pretty close to a CLS55 when you are inside. Then my advice is to take a couple of days to think about it. I miss my SL55 much more than my CLS55.

No Red Interior!
Damier Canvas - Don't want rain on your parade but the CLS55 does not have a red interior option. It only has Charcoal, Ash, or Cashmere Beige. Check this link out. http://www.mbusa.com/brand/index.jsp - Bob

Evo -
He didn’t specify what country he was from – red may be available in other countries besides the good old USA.
The SL55 has the Active Suspension System (ABC) which is hands down better than the Dual Control Airmatic suspension that is on the CLS55. I would say the SL55 handles better, but still only seats 2 and I would agree, the CLS looks very cool. Your dollar, your call.
Theirs my 2 cents....

Personally, I hate buying an old model. The new SL is coming soon. The current model is not selling. Cars are being dumped on dealers lots here in Southern California. With that said, you should be able to get a deal on one.

Whatever you want to call it, it's a change and the dealers will tell you that the current model is not selling and the factory is dumping units on them. Just ask your dealer.
