OFFICIAL W219 CLS AMG Picture Thread (2004-2010)
I bought a car months back that had been plasti-dipped(the whole thing, black sprayed white dip), in theory seems like a good & harmless idea but what a fkn pain in the *** that was! Ill suggest to anyone even remotely consider dipping a vehicle DONT DO IT!!!!! I tried to wash it once I got it home, did pretty much nothing & car still looked dirty. All the body lines & seams still had dip all over, no possible way to remove it due to 2 reasons. Dip was either sprayed on lightly(thicker its sprayed easier to remove, light coat or overspray is a nightmare) or secondly I just couldn't reach. Some of the rubber was dipped also & spray rubber on rubber, no way you're getting that off. In the long run I had to revert back to the dip & spray black dip over the white dip in the jambs & over the rubber that had white dip on it. Bad, bad, bad idea! Dip is perfect for trim, wheels, emblems but whole effin car…Just Say no to Plasti-dip!!
So yea, curious to see about if a actual wrap is less of a headache then dip.

It ran me $1,700 including material. That's the homie hookup and was told it's usually closer to $3k. A lot of it depends on the materials you go with. Some are much more expensive than others. It is guaranteed for 7 years and supposedly holds up fine while washing etc. I haven't washed it yet but I'm not worried about it. Easily wipes clean.

as seen on our instagram. www.instagram.com/adv1
I think adv.1 jon just killed the game with this one.
