Agree, absolutely love the lines. No mods as of yet. I'll get some baselining services done and I think need some bushings replaced in the front. Wheels/tires in the near future next. Then enjoy it for a bit...working into simple pulley/tune/cooling upgrades. Some things I can probably do but still need to find a good tech in my area (Chandler, Az)

For sure. Keep the transmission fluid changed on intervals and use proper spec fluid. If you are not already familiar with fcpeuro.com they have good prices and nice maintenance kits too along with great warranty and good customer service. I would highly recommend a transmission TCU tune. Zerocat101 a forum member sells a complete TCU with his tune that transforms this platform of car into that AMG should have done! I have his version 1 and I was ecstatic now he has a v2 with different options that are even better and price is very fair. Mkultra-electronics.company.site
I prefer manual transmissions any day and until my CLS55 that's what I had in Porsche and Jaguar cars and was disappointed in the transmission performance in the CLS55 until this TCU made all the difference! I have other mods such as RaceIQ stage2 ECM tune, 83mm supercharger pulley, billet idler kit with belt wrap kit, and intercooler system upgrades yet the TCU was the best bang for buck IMHO. Most importantly though drive and enjoy your car!

My 2005 CLS55. I just bought it, so first do a proper stage 0 before adding power (goal: 530-550 bhp?). It has 186k on the clock right now. I love the look of the 19" wheels, in the end I want something more lightweight (also in 19"), but it has very low priority. Also the center resonator has been removed.

Hi ND, is that a designo interior with piano black accents? Beautiful cls55 and congrats! I run a UPD 83mm clutched pulley, RaceIQ stage 2 tune, and a VRP secondary heat exchanger with Bosch 010 intercooler pump and it runs very well. I have a belt wrap kit/ pulley kit from UPD which helps with belt slip.
I would say one of the most noticeable mods was the TCU tune from Zerocat101 on here. Really transformed the transmission characteristics for the good!

I havent investigated what interior it is exactly, but its beautiful What kind of power are you running with those mods?
I just replaced the TCU with another one, this was on the label (its in German)
This has made a big difference indeed, shoots better off the line and just shifts better

Some pics from a small car meeting last sunday. I noticed that there arent any/many (?) build threads from the CLS55 owners. I will start one soon, with the idea of helping other people who run into the same issues (and for gaining advice off course!)
The open bonnet is from a Skoda Octavia VRS :P
Also 2 vids for your enjoyment!

Good day or eve to all. Here are pics of my W219, CLS 550. Going to tint the windows and get my tires balanced this week and I’ll be done with her. Replaced air suspension in the rear with a conversion kit/spring set. Rides smooth as ever.
