The V10 engine is cool and all; now if only BMW could figure out a $100k interior/exterior - that is one bland boring car for somehting that should look so much more aggresive. Judging by the latest 3-series things seem to be even getting worse - the back end on the new 3 looks like a corolla.

it's always good to know what u up against. i wouldn't call people troll for posting a car that perform slightly well than the CLS55. the margin is fairly small. i think the major decision will be the styling then.

This is not the place to say it probably, but I reckon polyphony digital, the makers of Gran Turismo 4 for PS2 have it in for the AMG 55's as well.
The E55 behaves and performs like it has no supercharger at all. Whilst the E55 is not really mean't for track work, the difference between it and the BMW M5 is H-U-G-E in the game, which is a load of crap.
Does anyone have Nurburgring Nordshleife times for E55, M5 and CLS55? Would be curious.

These are two very special cars. We are all lucky for having such a choice. Within the next 6-12 months, I'll replace my current car with one of these two (unless I buy a Porsche ). My choice will not be made because of small differences in acceleration or lap times. There are more significant differences to consider.
