Questions to CLS 55 owners
Power - Excellent (but limited until 1000 miles - only 250 miles so far)
Handling - Disappointed (compared to my previous M5)
Styling - Excellent
Comfort - Excellent
Gas Mileage - Is this really important?
Cheers.

Build Quality - Excellent
Power - Unreal Nothing compares to 500 blown horses under the right foot
Handling - turns on a dime and very solid and sure footed on the twisties
Styling - Stops traffic and causes many to put a thumb up
Comfort - wide, solid and roomy
Features - Keyless go is a must - Great Technology
Exhaust note - Very deep and throaty on even mild acceleration
Gas Mileage - 20's
Sound system - Is the biggest complaint cannot seem to get the logic system to sound right.
Value - Priceless In my opinion a clear value at the msrp point
After driving the first 500+ miles (in one week), I must say that I have no regrets trading my "old" 211 E55. There's more rumble on the exhaust, suspension feels much better and I am more comfortable with the brakes of the cls. Looks like MB have made these adjustments in response to the complaints received by 211 E55 owners?
Other than the fact that I need to remind myself to use another car if I have 4 passengers, I totally like the cls and very happy with it.
But I will be happier as soon as you deliver my new wheels (earlier?)!

MBUSA told me that there is still hope because actually every Benz in this pricerange can be ordered in designo - it just takes a while because it is the launch-year...
It sounds like an SL55 with a much more throaty exhaust. The larger tires allow you to put the power down sooner, so it may be a bit quicker than an E55. We pounded these cars all day long on the track and not one problem.
There is no other mfg. (maybe Porsche) that puts their product thru this public scrutiny. BTW, even in car crazy SoCal, it turns heads with its styling.
