C219 CLS55 and CLS63, 2004-2010

Anybody ordered CLS55 with 030 nuderburg package yet ?

FloridaE55 - Thanks for the heads up on the 030 Performance Package availability. On the 18" wheel size I am pretty sure that the tire sizes in my post above are correct, however I will check tomarrow with my salesman on both issues. - Bob

Thanks Bob! I simply couldn't and still can't believe that we should get smaller wheels than standard when investing almost $10K in a performance package..

I still believe that it has to be an error in the NetStar-system, but you never know (better safe than sorry)

FloridaE55 - Just got off the phone with my salesman and he read me an E-Mail that he just received from his district MB/NA Marketing Manager and the following is what is included on the CLS55 030 Performance Package.

CLS55 AMG Performance Package (Option Code 030)

* AMG front bumper with special mesh inset and body modifications for rear tires
* Alcantara AMG sport steering wheel
* 186 mph (300 km/h) top speed (electronically limited)
* AMG "Nurburgring" suspension system (control arms and stabilizers)
* AMG "Compound" braking system
- AMG Compound front brakes: cross-drilled, internally-ventilated
15.4" two-piece discs with AMG 8-piston calipers
- AMG rear brakes: cross-drilled, internally-ventilated
13.7" two-piece discs with AMG 4-piston calipers
* AMG 19-inch twin-spoke multipiece alloy wheels with high performance tires
- Front: 8.5 x 19 inch 255 35 ZR 19
- Rear: 10 x 19 inch 285 30 ZR 19
* AMG Locking rear differential

The first cars with this option will be delivered late November early December. - - Bob

How are these tires different from the ones that are already on the CLS55 now?? If you go to mbusa and look at the tires....the sizes are exactly the same!

the tire must have higher speed rating but ironically we have no where to run in the states anyways. the wheels have different offset. fenders come factory rolled.

****, my delivery date changed again to the last week of november. This blows. Ah well the car is going straight to Kleeman as soon as I pick it up from the dealer.

The big difference is in the wheel, not the tire..
