2006 CLS 55
Cell phone question
I picked up my CLS55 today and, among my due bill items, is the cell phone to go along with the VCS system.
Does anyone know what model(s) of Motorola cell phones Mercedes Benz USA has available for installation in the 2006 CLS55? My salesperson was not quite sure and told me that only a TDMA phone (V70?) could be purchased.
I find that both hard and distressing to believe.

Nothing MB related (sorry)
Check out this link with phone kit info:

You can get a couple of MB Motorola phones installed in your CLS (not at the same time ); you could also consider getting the UHI phone kit that is compatible with various GSM phones.

I have both the V60 kit and the V600 kit.
I used the V60 for Verizon for a week and switched carriers becasue of coverage reasons in my area. Therefore I bought a V600 for Cingular. They both work the same through the in-car control system.
Incidentally I have the V60 for sale for $499 with the kit, cables, brackets, etc.

The CLS factory system is exclusively the UHI/MHI.
Multiple Handset Interface...
Typically, I install V600's in these cars. The V60i is just too outdated...
VCS is no big deal, just an extra control module, a different configuration of the microphone array, and install of the tilt lever plus additional version coding in the audio gateway.
