Cool

Thanks for letting us know. Let us know how it is when you get it. Base on your assessment I'll add it to my 2007 CLS63 order.

Did they give you a final list of equipment in the package?

What about the tire pressure monitoring option. Did you have to get it in order to get the 030 package?

does the tire pressure monitoring system just warn you when a tire is low on air?

or does it actually tell u the psi of each tire?

Let's see what I know...

Wow, so many questions! Let's see what I can do:

xMBZ,

I'll let you know when I get it and especially how long it will take..

jikjak,

That's what I foud out: German option "475 - Reifendruckkontrolle (RDK)": I checked the German manual and this system is similar to the optional monitor available on the E55, so it actually displays the current psi of each wheel .

Tony007,

Your question is very interesting. I believe you actually have to order 030-Package in order to get the Pressure-monitor (or the other way round). I even think that's part of the package. The reason for that is that I already calculated the final price of the complete car before I went to the dealer. The Pressure-Monitor did not increase the price. I even think that NetStar rejected the order once when we tried to configure the car but my dealer forgot to put in the Monitor. He said "Oh, yes - I forgot to punch that in together with the performance package..". But I'm not 100% sure on that.

The final list of the Package is still not quite clear. It still shows 18" Monoblock wheels as part of the package but as previously discussed, I don't believe that that's the case (our posted list should be correct). I'll include that in my request when I call Mercedes tomorrow.

My dealer could not tell me if the car will already be delivered in 3 months because he has no confirmation from Mercedes. I'll keep you guys updated as soon as I get any info because I know that there are several members on this board who are in the same timeframe as me. :p

Thumbs up

FloridaE55,

I'm in the same boat as you, and not too far away I might ad Maybe we'll cross paths at the drag strip some time Now that would be BADASS, Two black CLS55 030's head to head!!

Thank you for letting me know about the tire pressure monitoring system.

I'll be contacting MB of South Orlando later today and pick their brain on this issue and I'll post what I can find out.

Our CLS55, (every option except Sirius) is supposed to be here in Dec. I just can't stand that damn antenna on the trunk because I really want the the Sirius too..

Jikjak, I might have found the answer to this issue: When I checked the German manual, there are actually 2 different monitors on the CLS:

The optional one I described before and a simple Warning-System (I think standard) that can/has to be calibrated as well but does not display the current psi. I guess that's the difference. This simple warning system is not recognized until you actually have a problem with your pressure.

Tony007,

You're absolutely right about the location of the antenna but it wasn't a big deal for me. After all, our cars are going to look hot - with or without the antenna - so I thohght: "Antenna or not - WHO CARES IF NOBODY CAN FOLLOW....." :v

Question How Many Dollars?

FloridaE55 - Is the price for the 030 Performance Package still $ 9,500.00 for the CLS55? As far as the wheels go, they would have to be the 19" Dia. wheels to fit the large brakes and calipers that are being used on this Package. - Bob

Yes, the price didn't change. As I said before, I'm sure that we will get the 19" wheels described in previous posts because it wouldn't make any sense to offer smaller wheels as an upgrade and increase the diameter of the brakes the same time.

Hi Tony007,

Got this info today when I visited my dealer:

It doesn't show any details, but the Package consists of:

P30 Special Edition
030 Performance Package
785 18" Monoblock Wheels (will prob. change to 19" wheels as discussed).

Although it doesn't show ANY details, thought it might be interesting..
