MBUSA confirmed content of 030 Performance Package!!

Hi,

Sorry to start an additional post, but that might be interesting for everybody who is interested in/has ordered the Package:

The detailed list that was already posted several times (19" wheels Style IV etc.) has been confirmed by a rep. of MBUSA when I called them today.

So now we can rest assured...

030 Package

This is what was released on the AMG owners club board for Europe:

2. CLS 55 AMG Performance Package

2.1 Content
• Internally ventilated composite brake discs measuring 380 x 36mm on the front axle
• Multiple-disc limited slip differential incl. reinforced final drive unit
• 19" AMG multi-piece twin-spoke light-alloy wheels, (front: 8.5 x 19 ET 25 with 255/35R19, rear: 9.5 x 19 ET 28 with 285/30R19)
• Maximum speed limitation (Vmax) increased to 300 km/h
• AMG ergonomic sports steering wheel in leather /Alcantara (black)

2.2 Price
Code 030 Performance Package CLS 55 AMG (219.376): 9,860€ incl. 16% VAT

The Performance Package for the CLS 55 AMG is available only with the payable equipment code 475 (Tyre pressure monitoring)

2.3 Availability
The Performance Package for the CLS 55 AMG is available from September 2005.

The following items appeared on the list posted here and are not mentioned above. The front brakes on the Euro spec sheet are a bit smaller (380 mm) instead of the 390 mm ones listed here. The rear ones stay stock according to the Euro sheet while being listed as bigger than stock here. According to the US sheet the performance package CLS will get the S65/CL65 brake syste. Remains to be seen which of the two is correct. Maybe there are different packages for Europe and the US, although I highly doubt that.:

AMG front bumper wth special mesh inset and body modifications for rear tires
* AMG "Nurburgring" suspension system (control arms and stabilizers)
* AMG "Compound" braking system
- AMG Compound front brakes: cross-drilled, internally-ventilated
15.4" (390 mm) two-piece discs with AMG 8-piston calipers
- AMG rear brakes: cross-drilled, internally-ventilated
13.7" (347 mm) two-piece discs with AMG 4-piston calipers

When I talked to MBusa, the representative def. mentioned a modification of the rear-bumper. One ineresting thing to mention is that the US-performance package consists of the order-code 030 (the package you described above) AND a second item described as "P30 - Special Edition". Maybe that's the reason for the difference.

I can tell for sure that the customer representative also mentioned the following items:

* AMG "Nurburgring" suspension system (control arms and stabilizers)
* AMG "Compound" braking system
- AMG Compound front brakes: cross-drilled, internally-ventilated

I remember that because he told me that this car would have such great brakes (he mentioned "cross-drilled" in particular).

I guess this time US-customers seem to get a bit more than the original package.

P.S. You seem to have a German name. If you are German, I got a message for you:

Viele Grüsse aus Florida und in drei Wochen ANGIE wählen.. :p

2019 G550. 2018 AMG GT roadster
Any photos out there?

HI. New to the group. Not sure whether to order the 030 package. Really like the AMG standard wheels and the larger lip on the rear wheels. Before ordering the 030 package I would really like to find some photos of the wheels on the car. I called MB today and they were clueless. Said they would research and call me back.

I assume the wheels of the Performance Package? If yes, there you go. Check out page 59, article 9. of the AMG-brochure. We get the Style IV-wheels:

AMG Accessories

Hope that could help!
