Collin - Glad to hear from the best lead person ever! I have yet to thank you for the excellent job you did on planning the route and leading the group. Yes the drive was exhilarating for me as well as for my daughter! (And she made it clear that she will definitely tag along on the next meet!) The only regret that I have was not being able to video tape the drive. If I had to do it again, I will mount cameras infront and rear. (Imagine seeing a red 911 TT infront and a yellow M3 at the back, on twisties and those occasional sprints!)

Zoink has a good idea - riding with Treynor would be awesome! Hopefully Treynor will show up.

I also hope that a few more high performing benzes will show up on the next meet.

Did the CLS draw a large crowd to it? I can imagine people must have been curious what it was. Did they give you alot of positive feedback? Any negative comments?
Thanks

You betcha! Folks were constantly taking pictures of it, and I did get a lot of compliments about the car. When I was getting ready to leave the meet, had to wait for about 15 more minutes to let some folks finish taking pictures of the car! Did not hear any negative comments.

BTW, I just realized that a co-member of this forum Redlinerobert was there at the meet also with his murcielago!

Cool!
Your car looks awesome in white! I haven't seen a color yet that makes the CLS 55 look bad!

Hey man! Excellent CLS55. I meant to ask you how you lowered it. Looks fantastic. I was there with my Murcielago. Here is my favorite picture of my car from the event.

Hey Robert! I thought that was you driving the Murcielago, but wasn't too sure. Are those aftermarket wheels?! Sick! Will you be at the next meet?

I agree that is one hell of a picture. It feels like I am looking up from down under the skirt of the most beautiful, sexiest woman!!!
(with that picture, who needs viagra?!)

But I am still working out some issues. I am still "testing" it and depending on the outcome, the car may have to raise back up to stock.

Why? What is wrong with the lowering?

There are some minor rubbing issues, particularly when making a hard right with a "sudden dip" on the road. I think the place where rubbing occurs is at the joint between the plastic rear bumper (sharp corner) and the metal fender. As soon as make a determimation that is the problem, will consult with my local body shop and see if they can fix that problem.

If not, will raise it back to stock.
