need help...
I just bought 20's for my ClS, I got 245/30 on the front, and 285/25 on the rear, I still can swith them out for other tires what do you think. It looks like I am rolling on rubber bands, no tire at all. I want to lower it also. PLEASE HELP..It looks great, but scared of denting wheels.

hey, i have 20 'z on my 420 here is a photo, they are a one peice, chrome, the trie i pirelli , 30 series, very thin. ( when applying dressing to tires, i can size it up with 2.5 fingers in height. ) yes, you have to drive careful, very, watch out for rear end collisions due to your slowing over pot holed, rr crossings, etc. good luck. my car is lowere, also, minimum clearances.

With 9's and 11's, run the Michelin Pilot Sport 2's, 255/30R20 Front, 295/25R20 Rear. The 245/285 setup you have probably have a really stretched look on 9's & 11's... The PS2 tires run a little wide so it should help.

technically you can run whatever you want... but the 255/30 & 295/25 is the optimal setup for your CLS. I'm not sure what running a tire set-up that is too tall in the front and not in the rear would do to the electronics of the car. I'm thinking you're going to be the guinnea pig on this one so keep us posted if you keep running your 245/35 & 305/25 setup. Maybe double check with an aftermarket-friendly service advisor or technician at Mercedes if you know one...
