Break-in schedule
HI. Will be getting the CLS55 soon.... So they tell me. The dealer has not mentioned the break in schedule for the car. What have you done?

I followed the break-in schedule as close as possible. A lot have not.
First 1200 miles...
No full throttle starts
Don't exceed 4200 rpms
Top speed is 90
gradually work your way up

I still have the Run-In Instructions sticker from the windshield. It reads as follows:
-No full-load operation and no kickdown until 1000 miles are exceeded
-No engine speeds above 4500 RPM until 1000 miles are exceeded
-No speeds in excess of 85 MPH until 1000 miles are exceeded
-After 1000 miles, increase load slowly.
Once I broke 1000 miles, I was done being nice, lol!
