IWC CLS55 is BUILT. PRICE BELOW
Many of you will be pleased to hear that after checkin on my car today, it is built and awaiting shipment. The car should be here at my dealership by December 5th, so as you can probably imagine, I am extremely excited. The IWC CLS55 AMG is alive!!!!!!!!!!
as far as some of you were wondering, the car is loaded with all options and the price tag comes to $104,600.00. It has two exclusive options as follows. The car has the IWC Ingeneiur Package which is $7,777.00, and also it does come with a watch which is $7,777.00 also. Thus, it is not terribly more than a standard CLS55. I am glad I went with this choice!!! Pics to follow in less that 15 days!

His mine not have 030 or some other things. there is no way an IWC would be clost to 104. My dealer, when I inquired about the price had said it would be close to 110 or more depending on options.

I don't think you can buy the car for that price.

well considering, not being ****, but considering that my family owns one of the largest MB dealerships in the world, I think i know what i am talking about, and that is NOT what I am buying the car for. I am buying it for a lot less . But yes, I hate to say that the MSRP of my current car is $104,620. Just because it is rare doesnt make it more $ than an 030 CLS55. The IWC package is less $ than a standard designo package. I will post pics of the window sticker in around 14 days. A loaded out 030 designo CLS55 will be close to 120 or so, I dont deny that, because we have a few ordered here, but the IWC car is considerably less than that.

You mean for an extra 3g's I could have got a $7,777 upgrade and a $7,777 watch??
Will be interesting to see what options the car is missing

From what I have read and been told the IWC CLS does not come with a watch..
The watch is turd anyway, none of my watch people can give them away... Now the Panerai AMG Chrono, thats a sweet *** watch..

Panerai AMG Chrono? what is that? and i'm glad you guys are getting all the options, I know it does notr eally help the resale too much, but it makes life easier for the car, when I got my merc, it had no options, and it costs so damn much too add them back... *sigh*

here's the watch you get with the car. it's about $8K. you get the rubber strap. just make sure the guy who PDI the car doesn't "steal" the watch. It's nothing that nice of a watch. I will try to take pics of the car when the car arrives at our dealership (Beshoff Motorcars). the guy who ordered the car is paying retail price. mercedes-benz doesn't want dealerships to be doing "adjusted market value" on any of their cars.
the model of that watch is called “IWC Ingenieur”. Hence the model "CLS55 IWC Ingenieur".
The color of the car (titanium) is not designo or anything like the "President Edition", but it has lots of metallic. The wheels are painted the same color. What makes the car interesting is the instrumentation that has an IWC look upon it. Nothing to brag about. But then wait 30 years down the road, the car might worth a million bucks..who knows.
personally i would rather take a "president edition" and drive the hell out of it and not scare about door dings and redline the engine. AMG cars are built for driving hard.

If you think it will be worth a lot of money in the future, then don't drive it. Think how much a 1967 Corvette with a 435 HP 427 with 10 miles on it would be worth.

If you look at my sig you can tell what I ordered. It came out to 97,400 with out tax and gas guzzler.
I still don't see the great value in the 030 less alone the IWC unless you are going to let it sit in garage. Me I like to drive my cars.
As for the watch, it is very unfortunate that Rolex, not being the beast brand has one of the highest resale value for any watch just based on name. I've never herd of the IWC. Maybe its too high class for me, don't know?
Regardless, i'm not here to say anything bad about the car. I think it is one of the best looking cars out there and for the price, even with the watch :p it is well worth it.
Congrats. on your car I hope you will enjoy it as much as I am enjoying waiting for it.

If you were into watches you'd know about IWC. Rolex is a solid watch, but I view it as a Cadillac in the 1970s. People that didn't know cars would ask you why you bought a BMW / Porsche / MB when you could buy the "best," a Caddy.
IWC mostly uses it own movements. Rolex actually buys the "watch" part for use in many of its pieces from other watch makers. They still make awesome products so don't take this as a slam on them.
IWC makes watches that start in the $4K range and go into the $30K range for specialty pieces. The MB watch is actually a very nice watch and includes a very innovative anti-shock feature for a mechanical movement.
For watch nuts the top tier is commonly referred to as the "Big Three" brands. They are: Audmars Piquet, Vachron Constantin and Phillpe Patek. A. Lange & Sohne is rapidly growing in reputation. I guess these would be paired with Rolls Royce and Aston Martins.
