CLS55 value?

Since the CLS55 will only be produced for ONE year (2006), does this help or hurt the resale value?
Personally I think this makes it even more of a collectors auto, there will be very few of these compared to most of the other AMG's.

For the sake of our resale value, I'd like to agree

I was not aware that Mercedes-Benz was only produced in the CLS55 for one year, not that I know these facts I agree with you that the resale value should stay strong.

How long was the E50 out?

Was that also out for one year or two?
I don't think that has helped its resale value at all.

Does anything ever help the resale value?
You know a dealership isn't going to give you Jack for a car....and private party buyers always want the best deal around. They will always try to get you down on the price.
You can just never win!

the market is loosening up. i am supposed to be getting one new soon, but if something goes down and that doesn't happen, i don't care because more and more are for sale and with the cls63 coming out soon, the value is going to drop. (maybe i should wait)

i would not be to worried for a CLS55... new body style and very rare... compared to a E55..

i'm waiting to buy a used E55 once the E63 and CLS63 are out...

E55 are already taking big hits... and I'm not sure why.

I don't understand why would people pay mid 60's for a new E500 fully loaded, when they can have a fully loaded E55 2004 for the same price.

maybe I dont mind used cars, but I look at the overall value and performance ratio.
