Does the clock in the CLS automatically set to daylight savings time?
Thanks,
Al
If so how do you set the clock to automatically set?

No, the clock is not automatic. You must go to the settings from your steering wheel selector untill you see the setting for time where you can then update. This is one of the few design defects in the car. Who at MB thinks a big analog clock is desirable (especially on an AMG)? I would rather have a small digital clock with more traditional needle guages for the Temp. and gas, however the clock takes up too much room.

Yes, the S Class ( at least the W 220) does it right. The CLS instrument panel is one part shared with the E Class, so they get to suffer with the defect too.
It is interesting to note that the new S Class has an "Infinity Type" analog clock in the center dash now (part of MB's "new" styling trend). I wonder if that automatically updates?

.............the clock on my 200 CLK adjusts itself for daylight savings time. It has Comand. So this is most likely a feature of the Comand not so much a special feature of the S-class. As would be expected, when I went to Euro Comand, this feature dissappeared.

Bummer. I waited and waited for that big clock to spin around once this morning; nothing!!!. I changed it in the command and then it changed. Oh well, I still love the car though!!

One of the very few things I don't love about the CLS is the gauge cluster -- another pair of analog gauges for temp & fuel would be much more desireable than a clock!
The gauge cluster is changing on the CLS63 -- no more white background based on the pictures I've seen, also new printing kind of like the IWC cars -- but the big analog clock on the left is still there.

When I changed the time on my CLK, the clock did something really wierd.
I think I changed it at around 3am, so when I set the time to 4am and pressed R, the needle went backwards to 11pm, and then went forwards to 4am.
Has this happened to anyone?

go into settings on da steering wheel set the time then u have to press the "R" button, which is the button you use to adjust you dashboatrd lights. as soon as u press it the clock sets automatically to da time u set it from the menu, did mines yesterday
